It was stated by the MODS on Volquest that UT will do everything it can to help him land in on his feet

This. It happening one year is one thing. It happening year in and year out becomes a way of doing things. It's one thing to make an offer that's not commitable. It's one thing to make an offer and completely yank the offer. It's a completely different story to yank a scholarship after a kid has committed and just 2 weeks before NSD. It may have happened, but I honestly don't remember Mizzou ever doing this.
I can tell you this, if my son were to ever be fortunate enough to be a football player at that level and he got an offer from UT, I would NEVER allow him to commit to them before NSD as long as Butch is there. I would force him to take all of his other visits. Continue to build all of those other relationships. If he ultimately chose UT, so be it. That's fine. But I would NEVER allow him to commit to them and then stop with the rest of the recruiting.

2 weeks before NSD??? I'd tell them to go F themselves. Odds are, wherever he ends up is not the same place he would have gone had UT never offered him.

Yes I do. If Butch was heavily involved in his recruitment such as Preston, then yes. But that is not the case here. The coach he had been in contact with since the beginning broke it to him

Maybe it's happened and I don't know about it or thought it was a kid that someone else got to flip instead of us pulling the carpet out from under him.

Butch has alot to learn. He needs to learn from Saban about "uncommittable offers" so he doesn't have to deal with this again.
