He is not one listed as an ATH because he PLAYED defense in HS he's listed as an ATH because he's so damn big
He'll play RB he came in under that pretense and he hasn't left Yeldon and Coach Burns side at no time during his recruitment did coaches talk to him about D, they liked him well enough as a RB and that is what I have always heard
His skill set translates best to a RB his size is ridiculous yes but he is only listed as ATH because of his size and speed
The only other position he MIGHT end up playing s Hback and even then no idea about catching or blocking skills but he could be a Vernon Davis type Hback/TE but I doubt it

Will he win a championship at LSU? Probably not. Will the LSU offense become some unstoppable force because he signs? Probably not. I think if LSU signed some athletic Olineman that could pass protect and a top notch qb it would create a much greater impact than any RB.
Fournette looks like a great prospect, but nothin about his film indicates him to be on a different level than any of the recent 5 star backs recently.
McFadden and Lattimore were the only ones to really elevate their teams imo. Richardson, Yeldon etc were all nice pieces.

As a fan Im sure want LSU to win another championship, but the odds are not likely. LSU has playing football for well over a century and has 3 championships. 1 every 40 yrs or so thats reality. The last two times they held the crown without really being the best team. USC in 03 and UGA in 07.

Not in Louisiana, most athletic kid is almost always at QB. Besides, I can't believe somebody over 400 carries in HS!

This couldn't be more irrelevant. You're comparing "rankings" of 2 different classes. That like saying Jamarcus Russell is better than RG3 because he was rated higher and drafted higher.
