An LSU administrative process found a football player responsible for the rape of a student but reduced his punishment on appeal, determining in part that no “force” or “malice” was involved and the athlete showed “an error in judgment,” documents show.
Documents from the Title IX hearing process, obtained by The Advocate, shed new light on allegations the student made public in a TikTok video posted earlier this month. In the video, the student said she is now pursuing criminal charges against the player and feels the university let her down.
On Tuesday, East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore said his office was opening an investigation into the rape allegation, saying a criminal complaint was filed.
LSU issued a statement saying the university correctly followed the administrative process in handling the matter and is cooperating with the criminal investigation.
Documents show the incident occurred Oct. 18, 2025, and the LSU Office of Civil Rights and Title IX received an incident report Dec. 9. The civil rights office handles allegations of sexual misconduct among students through an administrative process.


The football player called LSU police the day of the incident, saying he had a sexual encounter with the student and that she was messaging him, claiming he raped her and threatening suicide, according to an incident report filed by a university police officer. LSU police met with her and took her to the hospital, where a sexual assault kit was completed, the report says.
During interviews with university Title IX investigators, the student and player provided conflicting information on what happened. Both said there was some consensual sexual activity, an LSU hearing panel found.
But the student said she never agreed to it proceeding to intercourse, the panel’s report said. The player said that he stopped after she told him to, the panel reported.

The panel determined the player was responsible for forcible rape of the student because the incident between the two went from consensual to nonconsensual. He did not ask for consent before intercourse and did not stop when he later asked and she was silent, the panel found.
The panel decided he should be suspended until May 31, 2027, the documents show. He would not be allowed on university property unless given prior approval. He also would be re-admitted only if he met counseling and other requirements, and the suspension would be recorded on his academic transcript.
The player appealed, noting the timing of the Title IX complaint, saying he should have been represented by an advisor earlier in the process and mentioning $1,000 received by the student from his family, among other issues.

In her TikTok video, the student said soon after the incident, the player’s mother asked her not to file a criminal complaint and ruin his career. The student said she accepted $1,000 from the player’s family early on, and filed a criminal complaint after learning he was back on campus.
The administrative law judge reviewing the appeal rejected the player’s arguments and upheld the prior decision on forcible rape. But the review judge changed the punishment from a two-semester suspension to four semesters of probation, the records show.
The original punishment was deemed too harsh, partly because while the athlete’s actions were nonconsensual, they did not “exhibit a deliberate disregard for complainant’s dignity and autonomy but was instead an error in judgment.”
In a statement after Moore announced the opening of a criminal investigation, LSU said the university had “properly followed its Title IX policies and processes to a conclusion.”
“Let me assure everyone that this incident has been handled professionally and that LSU has strictly followed our policies, procedures and best practices, including the Title IX process, to guide our actions to date,” LSU President Wade Rousse said in a statement. “Now that a criminal complaint has been filed, our role is to continue cooperating with our law enforcement partners as they work through their investigatory process.”
Moore said he has requested all reports, interviews, evidence and other records from LSU, the LSU Police Department, the Baton Rouge Police Department, the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office and other agencies.

So you would rather a random arse uncle take advantage of a kid/family ???(which we have seen time and time again) or the educational institution that they have entrusted to educate/develop the kid and has been since 1951 to teach them how to navigate this area.

I can see u frickers really don't read or don't want to read. This is not a NIL collective for St. Aug. This is to educate the kids/parents on if your child is good enough how to navigate this scene without a uncle or a handler stepping in.
