I am not sure how 200M translates to football but if it does Devon Achane ran a 20.46.

200m is indicative of long speed. Like being able to house it from 90 yards if he has an opening.

Right, the bad services like ESPN have Boutte ranked in front, while the better service (247) has bourton in front. Either way they are ranked fairly close together, while you act like one is a 5* and the other isn’t. UGA has a faster receiver in Arian smith. I’ll take Rosemy, Bourton, and smith over lsu’s receiver haul any day.

Arian smith has a 10.39 100m and 21.14 200m. I agree there’s more to WR than speed though.

That’s quick. I think Achane’s 100 is “only” 10.66.

So Boutte was committed for over a year so the timeline for upgrading talent doesn’t fit. Neither does Gilbert who was committed for a month. You guys got jilted at the alter and are making lame excuses. Every team does it. Be above that

LSU isn't upgrading shite as far as the WR flips are concerned. Jarrett and Burton are two of the best in the nation. Anyone who belives there are upgrades out there for the 2020 class are morons and their opinions are worthless.

These are definitely flips we can withstand, though. Losing one wouldn't have been a big deal at all. Losing both does sting a bit because now, we're going to probably have to rely on a true freshman to contribute immediately in 2021.

It seems a lot of teams got hurt in one area this year. We would still like another TE and a QB, but they might have to come from the portal. We are beginning to hear that Fromm is coming back, so it might not be so bad there, and one TE would be nice but necessarily a have to have.

Obviously it is nice to get a Evans, but that could just as easily blow up in our faces.

If only Georgia knew how to use the forward pass.

Not as much as you think. Gilbert, Boutte, Moore, Lee and Trey Palmer who has stud written all over him.

None of the wr's will matter for any team if they don't have competent qb play. A good OC and QB are the two most important components to have a successful offense in today's game. Truth be told there isn't one team who signed a qb during signing period truly know how their qb signees will develop. Also, about 25-30% of the signees for the top 5 won't pan out as expected. It's just part of the game.

I agree with everything you say here, but I would have felt better signing either Burton or Jarrett. It would give us a little more flexibility next year. As it stands, if we don't sign another receiver this year, or take a transfer, we pretty much have to get 4 next year.

Gilbert is going to be a dynamic receiving threat, should alleviate the pressure of getting a stud WR in this class.

There were a host of things that caused Fromm's problems. Fromm is a good QB. Maybe not great, but a good QB.

People that look at a QB performance in a vacuum don't understand football. Receivers, coaching, Oline, play calling, offensive scheme, there are a lot of things that go into the performance of a QB.

Looking at 2018 in a vacuum and Burrow did not look like a Heisman QB....at all.

Do you honestly believe that Burrow looked like a Heisman winner in 2018?

O line wasn't your problem. Kirby is your problem. Les wouldn't change with the times. Appears Kirby is from the same school. Les could recruit too. Still it's a different game today than it was even 4 years ago.

I feel the Dawg fans frustration. We lived that life for many years.

I think Burrow was definitely flashed that he was better than his 57% completion rating or whatever he had. Especially towards the end of the season.

The scheme we ran last year definitely held him back from his full potential and also getting to camp late and not being able to build chemistry with his receivers until late in the season.

With Fromm definitely losing star wide receivers and 2 nfl backs hurt him and no one has stepped up.

It's Kirby's fault for not recruiting the wide receiver position better but looks like he adressed that problem.. Too bad Fromm will be gone before the receivers from this class mature enough to produce.

I think the hope is that Pickens, a hopefully healthy Blaylock, Jackson will have matured and produce more. These three Sophmores are SEC caliber talent. Add in a senior contributor in Robertson and the redshirts/true Freshman and we should be considerably better off at WR next year.

This past year our best returning WR had 14 career catches. Next year we return considerably more catches with each of the guys mentioned above. Losing 3 WRs to the draft , our TE and having another WR kicked off the team sucked.
