I get it, but it makes it a million times easier to not be in it when Bijan is as talented as he is.

No, Evans isn’t completely being steered by the brother, but he is influenced.
We have a username search feature, feel free to use it. Teaser: I’m very comfortable with my sources.

Everything with this kid stinks. Normally when a 5??rb is available schools are tripping over each other to get him. It seems to me all these other programs have told him to kick rocks. I’m not on all the boards, nor do I claim to know everything about recruiting. But looking at cliffs on this, and other SEC rant pages I don’t like it.

I think any team with the extra scholarship will pitch in for a shot at the kid, seeing as it will be open season until the Fall, but there are definitely red flags

It's immature and kind of dumb. That one action/decision could be an indicator of future authority problems, but is that really the reason to pass on a 5 star rb?

Gotta look at it in its totality & appreciate what we don’t know.
Transparent “auction” turned off some suitors early & throughout the process, abrasive arrogance in personal contact with staffs, his own HS staff won’t vouch for him & there are more “red flag” moments that never got out into the mainstream going back to his junior year.
Polarizing young man.

I promise you that is not the only flag.
That said, I hope we pull Evans in.

I heard Kirby wanted Evans but Morehead said no and wouldn't honor the sholarship offer. No idea the original source of it or what the basis was but that's just what I heard. Also heard that Kirby was extremely hot about it too. Maybe this was the case and they came to terms and the school is ready to take him now? Who knows.

That doesnt sound like morehead.
Mcgarity maybe. But not morehead.
UGA has done a 180 of support since morehead came on board.
Edit to add... I have no clue. Just my take on morehead

Looks like he's dropping in 247 due to these issues. Rivals questions him a bit too

ABOUT ZACHARY EVANS ...
Zachary Evans is a special talent and when he showed up at the Under Armour All-American Game in December, he reminded us all of the kind of athleticism and rare physical traits he possesses. But with all that ability there also come some concerns. Suspensions and documented run-ins with his high school coaches have clouded his talent at times and has forced us to weigh more than just his talent when it comes to his ranking. We love his ability but when it comes to stamping the 32 players in this class that we feel most confident in, the debate turned to an element of trust as opposed to simply counting up athletic traits.

Woody Wommack (Southeast): I know he is as talented as any running back in the country but I'm still nervous about where he have Zach Evans finishing in the rankings. While his pure potential is undeniable, there are so many things that could prevent him from being a first-round pick down the line. First, we have way too many five-star running backs. Secondly, Evans has clashed with his high school coaches and has obviously had a tough time navigating his time in the spotlight. While I can sympathize with him on the last aspect, it would be safer to have him ranked inside the Rivals100 but outside of five-star status.

I'd be happy if we locked in Darvon Hubbard and put Zachary Evans in the rear view mirror.

I was just referring back to a day or two ago when I asked why he hadn't dropped like others in the past who had issues

This forum & my posts are free to read or ignore. If you would like to continue to rest your case on $9.95 a month knock yourself out.
Try that username search again, I’m clear when I post feedback from coaching staffs & online/pass along info anyone of us have access to if we are intelligent enough to discern who/what posters from various sites consistently have info the eventually checks out.
Put me ignore if you can’t swallow that.

The more I read about Evans, the less I want anything to do with him.

Untrue. Dell is the one still in his corner and pushing for Evans; Kirby is the one that put on the brakes.
But at this point I don't really care where he ends up because this recruitment has been Legen...wait for it...dary. If we get him, I hope he balls out, if not then good luck young man.

In a sense "we created him" with the monetization of CFB, he's the drug & we are the user.
So yeah, the more we learn about street drugs, the less you want anything to do with him.
"Legalize it" & have a better chance to control it?

everybody want him on their team, but his recruitment is like watching your dog take a crap...nauseating and dirty as hell but for some reason you just cant look away

He’s like Frankenstein of the various worst aspects of recruiting rolled into one prospect. It’s pretty telling there’s been like 5 long threads on this board about him now, that were all axed for trolling and it’s like we’ve finally reached the “acceptance” stage
He’s insanely talented that’s the only reason why so many big schools are still after him

I read somewhere that Darvon Hubbard has cancelled all future visits.
