Do you think Hubbard is that good?
Honest question.
Just didn't think he was that great.
Did y'all not have any other options?

Nobody on the LSU board was excited about this kid. Maybe we're all wrong about him, but if you took a poll, he would have been like 5th behind Gibbs, Bradford, Berger and Drennan amongst the names that people were talking about.

100% BS.

Every time this kid was close to commit to a school (LSU, UGA, TAMU) - there were plenty of fans excited about it.

The fact of the matter is....when the kid is close to commiting to a school, the fans of those schools get their hopes up, forgives his past issues, and is ready for a 5 star RB. When Evans changes his mind, the fans goes back to "he is a headcase".

I hope we get him. He's definitely my favorite out of the remaining top unsigned backs (not named Evans).

You seem to have an agenda or axe to grind. This isn’t the venue, catch up with me on the rant sometime & I will indulge all your desires.

Are legit teams seriously still recruiting Evans? I figured he’d end up at SMU or something. Some of y’all beyond desperate.

We are I believe. I think he’s worth the risk based on how talented he is. I’ve said that for a while. But I also completely understand why teams would pass on him.

The only reason you’re in this thread at this point is to try to convince people that Herman never wanted evans and that Texas is morally superior to the SEC.

Looks like he's dropping in 247 due to these issues. Rivals questions him a bit too

Rivals guys like to talk out of both sides of their mouths. They say they are nervous about his rankings, have too many 5 star RB's, and that it would be safer to keep him in top 100 but not a 5 star, yet when the latest rankings came out on Tuesday they bumped him up 16 spots. Same with Jahmyr Gibbs, he's the #2 APB in the nation, yet he's still a 5.9 4*, with several Rivals guys on the ranking committe saying "we don't think we moved him up enough."

It's like, did we mess up? Yes. Can we fix it? Yes. Will we? No, we'll just write articles about how we should have done it. Stupid.

I think any team would be foolish to ignore the talent that Evans brings to the table.

Fortunately for Texas, they signed a RB this cycle that they're happy with, so they were able to cool the jets on that position (aside from taking a backup RB choice).

Unfortunately, I'm not completely sold that the culture created by Herman is as foolproof as he lets off, and I don't think that Evans would help that locker room at all. Plus, I don't think Evans has a close relationship with hardly any of the recruits.

TL;DR: Herman for sure wanted Evans when this cycle started, just like everyone else in the nation. But Texas took a different back, and that was that.

Hypothetically speaking: if Evans were to call Herman tomorrow, I guarantee you that phone call would not go ignored.

I don't think Evans would help ANY locker room.
