Josh Sweat- VA. Defensive End

I know there has been some talk about him, but couldn't find a recent thread. 247 predictions have him VT-FSU-Ohio State-Tenn-UGA in that order.
I feel like this kid is an SEC style player all the way, and had seen him mention A&M a few times.
Any of y'all have a feel on the home boards for where this kid goes?

I thought it was a VT vs UGA race for Sweat. Has something changed in the last week or so?

VT, UGA, and FSU are considered the favorites

Kid is a beast, wish he was more interested in us. Would like to see him in the SEC but not on a team we play

This. It's going to come down to his OVs to each of the 5 schools listed in the OP. Right now, these 3 are the early favorites.

Would be a sick DL haul if UGA could land Thompson and Sweat.

Feel like he ends up at Tech

Man, I think IF we get him on campus we surprise him. I really hope we can make some headway. Hopefully he chooses us for an OV.
This kids a beast. UGA, you need to bow out. No sense in you boys stockpiling all the DL talent like that. So.... Staahhhhppp it.

If he does, I think it's because of family. Doesn't seem like they can afford to travel much (hence he has only made 1 unofficial to each of the 5 schools listed). May be easier to visit him in Blacksburg as opposed to the other schools listed.

Even if we can just make an impression and get in his top three I would be happy. The Hampton Roads area pumps out talent and it seems like there's one elite prospect from there every year

If it comes down to quality of in home visits, Butch is going to have it on lockdown. Remember how he closed Malone?

It was Thigpen, not Butch, and he was going against Tony Ball. It is honestly IMO, the single biggest "dropping of the ball" by our staff in recruiting that I remember.

Eh a Tennessee kid chose Tennesssee. I wouldn't call it "dropping the ball" for UGA

I've said on this kid before OSU insiders get the feel he likes OSU a lot, but he is a very quiet kid who doesn't really do a lot of interviews or anything.
UGA thinks they have a good shot, as do VT. I have heard FSU isn't really one of the favorites as has been indicated (I wonder how much of the UGA stuff is from Pruitt perhaps??)
Basically, no one really knows, but I feel good about OSU's chances with Meyer and Larry Johnson.

It's hard to get a read on him. He doesn't have a twitter and like Buckeye said, doesn't do many interviews.
Obviously Va Tech is in a good spot being instate, but as far as the other "favorites" it's really impossible to tell.
