at UGA he walks into a loaded situation where he will have to fight very hard for any meaningful playing time early on.
If he doesn't have the chest, LSU can have him.

And he's back, along with like 5 other guys. You're not helping yourself here. Emery isn't going to go to UGA and get 100+ carries year 1. He definitely would here.
This is actually true. But, nobody expected Cook to come in and do as well. nobody thought Swift would come in and play a lot. I mean, we had a loaded up backfield going into last year and still pulled Swift and Cook.
Sometimes kids go to the hot, exciting program, with the exciting coach that looks like it might win. We also play a lot of RB's even if they are freshmen.
Holyfield could go after this year, too. It wouldn't surprise me a bit. He could possibly gain 1,000 yards and go pro.

I understand that pressure may have caused some of his problems, but with Auburn this week, that won't get better.
You have Georgia, MState, and Alabama still to come, and A&M right now looks to be able to pressure the QB. Your Oline needs to grow up and grow up fast.

Why do you think that him getting a ton of carries freshman year is a good thing? Backs only have so many carries in their legs and if they're averaging 25+ / game for 3 years, they're seen as less valuable in the eyes of NFL scouts. Emery could come to UGA and get 5-10 (depending on performance/depth chart) carries in his freshman year.

He's obviously willing share reps vs going to LSU and getting ran into the ground

At this point in time I think it’s fair to expect A&M to rape LSU.

Runningbacks don't get run into the ground at LSU. This isn't Bama, amateur.

Have you watched LSU football at all in the last 15 years? Tell me one RB we ran into the ground? We have Davis coming in, Curry, CEH will also get there share. But, the depth chart looks better at LSU regardless.

You're obviously still not getting it, nobody is being run into the ground here, he just has a quicker path to playing time here vs. UGA looking at depth charts and I'm not sure why anyone continues to fight that aspect.

A true freshman in our stacked backfield played in the first game of the season. Quicker playing time shouldn't be your argument here, it should be number of reps.

Also why do LSU fans keep comparing this to Jamarr Chase? The situations are completely different, Florida was a dumpster fire with their staff getting shown the door.

Semantics, we all know what's being discussed in that aspect. He would get a lot more PT early on here than UGA.

There are definite similarities and definite dissimilarities.
They both seemingly want to go out of state. They both almost committed to a program. They both surprisingly committed to a different program while on a visit. They are both at schools from which LSU almost always gets who they want.
The big difference, as you point out, is that Florida turned into a shitshow and the coach Chase committed to got fired. But, Florida was still in the mix for him, and on paper, hiring Mullen should have helped ease his concerns about the program going forward.
But I do get your point, though. Kirby isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so what is going to be the catalyst that actually gets him to decommit? It's possible that LSU could have landed Chase even if Florida hadn't had an abysmal season and fired JM, but the way their season played out, it sure seems like that made it easier for use to re-establish a foot hold.

I don't trust A&M. They have a history of starting fast and fizzling later. They do have a new coach, and that might make a difference, but who knows, really?

Apparently you guys are not getting it, then. We have had freshmen running backs getting carries regularly.
Swift last year, and Cook will get a ton this year, and it's not like we have been thin at the running back position. The talented backs just get carries.

And Chubb and Michel played a good amount their freshman year, too. We have always been deep at RB, but still manage to give talented freshman running backs carries.

Seriously? Leonard Fournette carried the ball 300 times in the 2015 season. I think it was the 2016 season in which he was hurt most of the year.
Our leading ball carrier this year has 20 carries in 2 games. I went back to 2011 and have yet to find a RB with 300 carries, or anywhere close to that.

IN fact, the highest number of carries one of our RB's have had since 2011 is 224.
You tell me. Which is more 224 or 300? Then tell me which RB sat out a good portion of the year due to injuries after he carried the ball 300 times in one year.
I'll give you a hint. His brother still plays at LSU.
Tell me how we run our running backs into the ground?

When is the last time UGA had a starting RB finish the year healthy?
Perhaps THAT’s why he had fewer carries, or the fact you play in the shitastic SEC East.
