LF is a fine back but good Rbs are pretty common and we aren't talking Barry Sanders/Bo Jackson/Hershel walker level here. I would say there are 5or 6 backs that could be equally good or better in college. I would say the most coveted was probably Percy Harvin. He came out of Virginia and everyone wanted him. I still say he is the main reason UF won 2 ships.

No. The most coveted by LSU maybe, but not the most coveted nationally.

He may not have been as coveted as some of the guys mentioned in this thread, but Julio Jones has to be one of (if not the) most 'can't miss' prospects to come out in last 20 years or so. Physically, the dude could've walked off the field his last high school game and into an NFL training camp.
Had he not been a forgone conclusion to Bama, he might've gotten more recruiting hype.

AJ Green and Calvin Johnson were also big time can't miss receivers but had the same issue. AJ green commited to UGA realllly early and Calvin Johnson only considered UGA and tech.

Unless LF is also a world class track athlete, the comparisons to Walker and Jackson are wrong.

My point is that Fournette's top end speed doesn't approach that of Walker or Jackson.
Fournette's an awesome prospect. The best RB in the last few years. He is not Herschel Walker or Bo Jackson though.

That's some unfair comparisons for anyone. Once in a decade players vs a guy that looks to be a really good rb in the mold of a more fair comparison of Trent Richardson maybe a little but faster. Which is damn good but like I said.....the talent at rb this year is redic. Sony Michel and Fournette have been beasting in high school for years so can wait to see them suit up in college.

I've seen plenty of people say that LF is the best RB recruit since Peterson

You mean since Todd Gurley :). Peterson is actually a pretty fair comp just not quite as low and compact but equally gifted. He's going to be a good one but at this point he's just a recruit. Can't wait to see how good he looks in college.

Good chance to be a bust ....kids will eventually catch up to his speed and size . Will he continue to progress or peak early ? We shall see ....kids great now .
Haha and LF will just stay the same not get better at all?

LF isn't even a consensus #1 recruit. Therefore, Clowney and Nkemdiche were more coveted.
