He was a five star long before he ever committed to Alabama. And we have no idea how good he will be, one way or the other.

Kellen Moore spot on aside from being right handed.

More more
zeek pike, stephen garcia, john brantley, jarret lee, neil caudle, etc.. and 90% of the participants make you go 'Who?'

Just because they were there doesn't mean they did well. I remember Pike and Frazier getting pretty bad reviews. The coaches would give the standard "shows potential" or "good arm strength" lines because they couldn't say "the dude sucks."

what year did they start bringing in more than 11 guys? im pretty sure they had done that by the time zeek pike was in it, which would mean he did well enough to get in the finals. i dont know about frazier.

Cornwell moved down after committing .
Bama fans= elite 11 means nothing because DC had a bad showing.
Aubies=Elite 11 should determine rankings because they may offer the winner.
The kid from Arkansas that won two years ago was really impressive at that camp too .Curious to see what he does at SMU where I think he'll start as a R-Fr next year.

I mean look at the link. I'm not going to go through 150 names and pick out the ones that fit your description. Thats your job lol.

The year Pike and Winston were in was the first year they expanded from 11. Pike made the finals but was ranked 9th or 10th. Winston was one of three that won that year.

Some info going around that he is going to be at our Black Magic week. Don't know if we will offer due to limited numbers (15) but if we offer I think we get him...

To be fair most of these guys are still in college. Let's look at set the year back at:
'09
Blake Bell (Oklahoma)- Oklahoma's starter for '13. Previously the backup who ran his own Belldozer package.
Joe Boisture (Mich St./Saginaw Valley)- Failure
Rob Bolden (Penn St./LSU)- Failure
Tyler Bray (Tenn)- More potential than substance. Now in the NFL.
Barry Brunetti (WV/Ole Miss)- Failure
Devin Gardner (Michigan)- Took over as starter last year. Shows some promise. Will be fun to watch.
Jake Heaps (BYU/Kansas)- A failure so far.
Austin Hinder (Cal)- Career backup type.
Nick Montana (Washington/Tulane)- Competing for the starting job at Tulane?
Jesse Scroggins (USC/Arizona)- Couldn't beat Barkley for the starting job so he transferred. Competing at Arizona.
Phillips Sims (Bama/Virginia)- Flunked out of Virginia.
Chandler Whitmer (Illinois/UConn)- Played quite a bit with limited success.
3 are successes. 3 have been complete failures.
'10
Archie Bradley (Oklahoma)- Baseball player. 1st rd pick.
Teddy Bridgewater (Louisville)- One of the best in college football.
Evan Crower (Stanford)- 2nd stringer.
Jeff Driskel (Florida)- Starter. Remains to be seen what his legacy will be.
Phillip Ely (Bama/Toledo)- Just transferred to Toledo. I would think he may win the starting job after he sits out.
Kiehl Frazier (Auburn)- Crashed and burned as Auburn's starter. Will likely finish out career as backup.
Everett Golson (Notre Dame/?)- Led ND to the title game. Was kicked out of school in the Spring. Remains to be seen what his future holds.
Cody Kessler (USC)- Competing to start. Was 3rd stringer last year behind Matt B.
Adam Pittser (Wyoming/Ill St.)- Competing to start. How did he get invited?
Damarcus Smith (W.Kentucky)- Competing for starting spot. Struggled staying eligible.
Kendal Thompson (Oklahoma)- The biggest thing he has done so far is get himself arrested.
JW Walsh (Oklahoma St.)- Started off the year as the starter and then got hurt and lost his spot. Was still named freshman of the year. Will compete for starting spot this year.
4 successes. 2 failures. I'm not even going to count Pittser. How the hell he even got an invite is a mystery.
The rest are way too young. Not bad.

Now widely considered one of the best quarterbacks in the 2014 class.
Great prospect.

The fact he hasn’t received more attention from other big schools in the South is beyond me. He is going to be a good one.
My only question is how does he fit in Gus’ scheme? Seems to be a pocket passer

He is, Gus' offense has put up huge numbers with pocket passers as well.
