I heard this from a college coach at a school that was recruiting him. This coach said they backed away from him sometime ago even tho' he was still claiming at the time that he was considering going there. This coach said he scored an 11 on his ACT and had been kicked out of school a few times during this year because of his behavior. But Edna Karr would always let him back in school because they wanted him to play football. Edna Karr had issues with him following school rules, refusing to wear a uniform, and refusing to pull his pants up. Said they had been worried for sometime about his academic status and behavior so they made the decision to break off contact with him!

89 - I'm not sure I would bother having these discussions here.

I don't know if this rumor is true or not but I do remember the "rumor" on LSU boards (which was subsequently brought to this board and the Bama board) that Cam Sims wouldn't enroll early and may not even qualify because of his ACT score. We see how that "rumor" turned out.

Not true. The rumor was started by Harris and he stated a North LA kid was not on track to qualify. Rantards ran with Sims with little actual knowledge other than it was a North la kid. Why anyone thought Harris would know is beyond me. To say that it was about sims is false on your end.

Where he will continue on to the Capstone, be a model citizen for three years, and be drafted in the 1st round after winning two national championships in college.

The rumor about Cam Sims not enrolling early/qualifying pre-dated Harris's tweet (assuming you're talking about the one in December) by several months. The Harris tweet just gave it a 2nd life.

Word on the internets is that he got a 14 on his ACT and his GPA is such that literally one class could make or break him.

Most people in Louisiana are such fanatical LSU fans that it would not surprise me at all if he suddently "got into trouble at his high school" after committing to an out-of-state program.

all in.

I am sure that one reason LSU has never gotten in trouble with the NCAA is that if any resident of the state "told" on them, they would be run out of the state with a shotgun.

You mean like excommunicating the greatest player in Ole Miss history if his third son doesn't attend UM?

I laughed at the post that we are all so into football in Louisina that we would protect our school from any wrong doing by illegal means but it is true that any decent and fair minded kid that plays football in this state wants to play for LSU.

I might bump this Saturday after I talk to my dad. Don't really like asking him info on his kids but this thread has me curious.

You should know that a problem is likely with the kids that want to get out of town. Maybe the problem is home environment, grades or drug addition or even a combination of more than one of these but you can bet if a kid with family roots in Louisiana leaves you can look for a problem to emerge.

I myself struggle with drug addition, sometimes you just need to subtract yourself from a bad situation.

All I've said is the ONLY thing concrete I have to go by is what the UF staff is saying. The back and forth is tiresome and unnecessary. We will find out in August.

Dude this has been talked about for months.

Literally since mid/late summer. It's been on multiple LSU boards.
