We were lead to believe this buy the "insiders" at 247 but apparently that wasn't the case.

We run a spread, but its seemed to be a more pass centric offense.

You don’t really Need a QB right? Why don’t you tell him to come play for Jimbo so he doesn’t have to lose 3-4 games to A&M in his career.

LSU just offered him yesterday and we are hoping to get a visit out of him. How solid is he to USCe?

Pretty sure his parents are moving with Ryan, so I’d suspect his window for flipping is extremely tight. I like Hilinski as a player, I wish UGA could regain some of his attention.

His family is moving to South Carolina, where his brother will be attending med school. By all accounts, he is completely sold on being coached by Dan Werner.

He has been actively recruiting for us since committing last month, so it would be an absolute shock if he were to take any visits elsewhere.

His parents are here this week exploring the housing market and are planning to visit Charleston again while here. They are looking to buy in the Midlands NLT early fall and attend some games. Mom is going to be advanced party before early signing day.

His brother is going to enroll at MUSC ... already doing the paperwork and jumping through hoops and has been accepted for all intentional purposes. It's just a formality now ... waiting on his final transcripts.

They (both boys) still have some work to do at their respective schools but I would suspect that if LSU is going to make a move it'll have to be quick and overwhelmingly strong if he visits.

Dan Werner is heavily involved with all of their planning and with getting Ryan on a specific training regiment with the help of our S&C staff. Ryan seems to be all-onboard with the program and the process working toward an early enrollment.

Anything is possible but he also chose to forgo one high profile All-Star game offer in favor of playing in the Under Armour Game which is geared toward highly rated SC commits from our perspective ... being an Under Armour school. Not sure how that all plays-out but it was deemed to be significant at the time by our staff. He actually received the invite the day after committing to us ... probably just a coincidence.

I thought LSU was locked-in on Grant Gunnel and secured him a spot on the Army All-American roster already? I know that most of the Gunnel-to-LSU news has been coming from sources connected to the Army A-A game ... and he appears to be a damn good one. Houston is LSU territory too is it not?

He erred. Thought he was signing with the real USC.

I think our chances are very good with Gunnell. He was at Coach O's tour in Houston a couple of days ago. Word is he went on his own to listen to Orgeron and Ensminger talk about the offense they will be running this year. Yes, Houston is a hot bed for LSU.

Yeah. It appears that the RB is guilty of yet another premature melt regarding Gunnel.

Update on Hilinski ... it would appear that this pretty-much seals the deal.

He tweeted that he had a long conversation, by phone, "with former Gamecock legend HC Steve SPURrier" ... and that he and Spurrier really hit it off and Spurrier told him he's looking forward to coming and watching him play at SC.

Hilinski seemed star struck ... says he can't wait to get here especially after the conversation. Said SPURrier told him he is a perfect fit for SC and he'll love playing here for our fans and he reiterated how well he thinks mUSChamp is going to do here.
