Anyone know anything on Avery Young?

Seemed to be a fairly heavy dawg lean after his visit. Not sure now... definitely top 2 of AU/UGA... no clue outside of this. Some video of one of his teammates said he thinks he'll pick UGA but that means pretty much frick-all
Has he said anything about when he intends to declare? NSD most likely?

Dude could be a top 10 pick at OT but is set on DE, not sure we are going to be able to change his mind. Just from what I've read he seems like the kind that would transfer if the coaches even mentioned it. I really hope he ends up on the o-line somehow.

Dude is a prototypical LT, but wants to play DE. Don't know why, but he would be a huge get either way.

From Chad Simmons:

"Many thought it was Auburn and Georgia at the top for Avery Young, but it may be Auburn and Alabama according to his father..."

Yes. Should be an interesting battle until then between UGA and AU

Ugh... here is his dad's most recent comments:
quote:

"The reporter who wrote that he had a top 3 must've misunderstood Avery," Wille Sr. said. #Bama, #UF, #Auburn, #UGA and #Canes are even.

We are going to need a RT next season... Maybe we could sell that to Armstead also.

I read the article, and nowhere in the quotes does his father say it's Auburn and Bama. He just says that Bama isn't out of the picture and is one of Avery's final five. Then again, Chad Simmons is the one who talked to him, but I don't see how he interpreted that from the quotes in the article.

Exactly. Direct conflict with both messages his father has put out. Says Bama and Canes are simply in the mix with the other three and its all even. No top three (or two...)

He's not going to say it, but AU and UGA are the top 2

I hope this is the case! I'll take 50/50-ish odds over a 5 team game.

Maybe he could be the next Nick Fairley?

hopefully it's somebody from Bama to make up a little bit for the RB that shouldn't be named.

Brandon Greene or Patrick Miller would be my guess. Miller may have already enrolled at LSU though.

The guy with "inside knowledge" thinks it's Miller from LSU.
