Id really like to have Darby. But why have we abandoned the S position? We are recruiting just CBs. Had 3 CBs in the last class. I dont get it.

I dont ever expect anything out of that dude. Lolley basically called him a giant pussy to all the newspapers. He is afraid to hit....T Bell was the same way early in his career. So there is hope.

Yup, Rose is definitely scared to hit. He better change his mentality, but I never saw this in any high school highlights. You would think that he would've gotten more playing time after enrolling early.

I'm sure failing a drug test or whatever he did, didn't help him get on the field.

Not to bust your chops but AU hasn't shown an ability to coach the secondary. Even your 2010 NC team had the weakest secondary in the SEC. After signing some pretty good corners last year you still had a weakness there last year. Could be why your having trouble recruiting the position this year.

Umm…did you expect freshmen to come in a lockdown SEC receivers? Obviously they didn't come in and correct the problems we had, they're only freshmen.

Yeah our secondary coaching does suck.
But it is not that we are having trouble recruiting Safties. We are just not recruiting any true Safties. We seem to be recrutinig only cbs.

Our recruiting of secondary guys is based on recruiting guys that can play multiple positions. TJ Davis is a guy that very well may be a safety as he has played both in HS, he is just listed as safety. It isn't like we are just not recruiting safeties, we are just recruiting great athletes that play DB. That is Chizik's main philosophy. If we can get a true safety like Florence, yes we are going to recruit them, but Chizik isn't going to say we need 2 CB's and 2 Safeties in each class or whatever. He will recruit DB's and work out where they fit best.

Exactly.
And to the people calling out guys like Rose, well he is a true freshmen. Not many true freshmen go out there and kill it against the older guys right away. Rose will work his way into some playing time, most likely at safety.
