Good times...
Any news on anybody, anywhere? Recruiting wise.
An anybody looking for the 3 year bump thing, it was written up by ellitor I believe. He's active on AE so just look through his posts if you want it. It is well thought out, but probably still does not portray things accurately.

Most people already know this, but for the late comers:
Moore will choose AU Tuesday night live with Chad Simmons. Moore and Darby are good friends and are well acquainted having competed in track over the years.
Adams will announce for AU on Wednesday, and Louis will re-announce for AU as well.
Williams, having visited AU over the weekend and having declined the opportunity to visit Athens yesterday afternoon, will stick with AU.
The coaches are most focused on L. Williams, Goldman, Patterson, Young, Diggs, Darby.
Brown has still not received an offer, hence the non-visit over the weekend. That could change by Wednesday, but not sure if he'd be swayed by the late offer.

Hopefully we can keep it on track. It is getting down to the wire and no need for the fighting. This is a recruiting thread so I hope we all can keep it that way. I know I will from here on out.

Didn't realize Moore and Darby were friends

Both are also interested in running track...

It gives you reason for hope, but I wouldn't put too much stock in it... many of these kids are friends and the decent ones know that their friends should make the decision that is best for them.
Having said that, it's extremely close between AU and FSU for Darby... so every little bit helps.
Darby, Moore, Jones, and Davis all want to run track in college (and the first three are extremely serious about it). Could be an interesting dynamic there with almost your entire DB class also having a track bond. We'll see.

I'd really like to see us get 2 or more of those guys and call it a day!

quote:I dunno. Tennessee giving Nance a scholly is what gave them the upper hand in getting D. Rogers. Dakota Mosely getting an offer from Auburn certainly didn't hurt our landing Dyer. Kids going away from home for 4-5 years will often want a few friendly faces around them, so I think recruiting friends/family is a good practice.

I don't think any of these guys are that close of friends though. They know each other but thts really about it.

I see the "realist" Aubie has offered another insightful post.
Is Brannigan the same guy as "AUTiger22" on ITAT?
Sure sounds like the same pompous "realist" (i.e. constantly negative) attitude.

I remember you from AE. Yep you're still a douche & I hate you.
Apparently he's quite the popular cat in the ITAT asylum as well.

You ever see the ending of The Dark Knight? "Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight."
I am a Dark Knight.
Oh, Hay-zoos H. Keerist... a self-absorbed geek.

I'm still saying Moore, Adams, JaQuay, Darby, Goldman, and Brown.
I'd be OK with that.
