One school the twins know all too well is Tennessee. They aren't a slam dunk to wear the orange and white just because their father and brother did. They want to give everyone equal opportunity. It's on Derek Dooley and his staff to show them that they belong on Rocky Top.
Their father, James, was an All-SEC running back for the Vols under Johnny Majors, and remains a mainstay around his alma mater. Their brother, Eric, was a consensus All-American safety for the Vols from 2007-2009 and was a top 5 pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2010 NFL Draft.
"Honestly it's the place that I have a lot of ties to, but it's my recruiting time," Elliott said. "I don't have any favorites right now, but everyone is going to have an equal shot. I'm open to coming back up and checking out the schools for myself."
Evan has called Tennessee his leader in the past, but wants to make sure and go through the recruiting process.
"I still like Tennessee a lot," Evan said. "But at the beginning of this recruiting process I'd like to try and give everyone a fair chance. Everyone is going to start off even and then we will go from there."

Sounds like Tennessee is in solid shape. LSU and Auburn could be in play with Troop and Chavis.

You should probably just make a thread that you can update for the next few years.

And so did Mr. Berry. He's still family.
Saying they are locks to anyone at this point is dumb.

Eric and his dad are still huge vol fans. Eric still visits UT regularly and supports UT even more than Peyton.

They will be a very hard pull for Bama. I can see Auburn or LSU but not Bama or UGA.
Berry's dad and Eric Berry absolutely love UT. Eric and his dad will recruit for UT. Chavis and Trooper will be huge obstacles though. There is actually a pretty solid rumor that Eric Berry told Dooley to go visit the brothers coaches at their high school about a month ago.

It will be a massive failure by our coaching staff, if both brothers attend anywhere but Tennessee.

You gotta respect a player like that, Eric Berry is the man

Are they anywhere near what their big brother was/is as a player? Eric was the best college defender I've ever seen.

Ive heard that they aren't. They apparently aren't as smart as Eric, but they are just as athletic. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't 5 stars like Eric was.

WE will just show them 3(2 now) straight Thorpe awards

I doubt Chavis will preach much praise for Trooper, but I also doubt he would negative recruit. He doesn't even recruit much as is.

They both run track and Evan was 2nd in the 15-16 year old age group at Youth Nationals in the 100 Meter Dash last Summer, 2011. At the 2011 AAU Nationals, Evan was 3rd and Elliott 7th in the 100m. Evan is probably a high 4.3x guy now and Elliott low 4.4x.
Evan plays QB and DB while Elliott plays RB and LB.
