Deane Leonard

Deane is a 6-foot-2, 193-pound defensive back.

He ran the 100-meter dash in 10.68 seconds and the 200-meter in a personal-best 22.10 in high school. To compare, he was only 0.82 seconds off of the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field 100-meter national champion Divine Oduduru.

Leonard was a first-team All-Canadian performer in back-to-back years, played a pivotal role in the 2019 Vanier Cup Championship team and chose the Rebels over the defending national champion LSU.

He made 22 tackles, one for loss, and one sack in 2019, while leading the West Conference with four interceptions and returning two for touchdowns.

Nice Try. I think Ole Miss will do anything for a recruiting win .Looks like the writer missed the fact it was ULL and not LSU. Don't think this guy was LSU material Hope he works out for you guys!

University of Calgary cornerback Deane Leonard will transfer to Ole Miss, he announced on Wednesday. The upcoming Canadian season was cancelled due to COVID-19 and he is granted the ability to transfer to an NCAA program with immediate eligibility.

Getting fast players to play DB at LSU is not the only criteria LSU looks for when offering Db's maybe at ole miss but not LSU. Just find it funny LSU was mentioned in the article just to pump up Ole Miss

10.68 does not make him one of the fastest players in college football.

LSU DB Kary Vincent Jr. has a best of 10.07 in the 100 meters running for LSU track. Just for a little comparison.

There’s probably a hundred players that run faster than this guy in NCAA football

Nah i don't know which is worse. The writer who wrote the made up part about LSU offering or you defending the article knowing it was a piece of crap. I mean if he lied about the LSU offer then whats to say the rest isn't made up as well.
