Read the quote. The kids have their acts and need a c. Wow, one c? Drop em.

You trying to pin this on Bert is fricking stupid
What Bert did is borderline dirty. It sounds like he had these guys on the line and when he signed a couple of better players he no longer had a spot. Pretty dirty actually, That's ok I am sure they have other offers and will be alrite. But to blame it on grades is dishonest.

Yes, kids routinely issue apologies on Twitter accepting blame for what happened when they were dropped for better prospects.

Also, please show what "better" prospects we have signed that make your plan work out. The four guys we got commits from this past weekend are all rated lower than McBride.

Wat?

I think it sucks - ACT scores look good. Can they not get an "extra credit" assignment to recite the alphabet to get one of their previous grades bumped so they can be eligible?

Seriously, we were a big 0 for fricking 8 in conference last year. They don't have room to dick around.

False.

Bret couldn't just been like Les and pulled an Elliot Porter situation.

Well maybe Bert & Mess Lyles can fist fight before the game next year between Loseyanner and Ar-Kansas.

So we need to wait until May to see if they qualify. We can't do that right now, sorry. The automatic admissions for Uark is a 3.0 & 20 on the ACT. If you do not have that it's not certain you would even get in. The University is closer and closer to capacity so they are being more picky with incoming freshmen than ever.

Blame the SEC on the stupid 25 limit.

Four years ago we would have signed these two and their coach to be offensive quality control

While we are on the subject of rescinding offers, this brings up a problem I have long had with recruiting.

It is ok in the public eye for a kid to decommit because the common thought is that he needs to do what is best for him but it is not ok for a school to pull a kids offer if they think it is no longer a good fit. I've always found the hypocrisy in that a little humorous.

It also reminds me of kids having to sit out when they transfer but coaches being able to bolt to a new job anytime the want.

There is a lot of double standards in college football these days.

I don't trust a guy who got a 19 on the ACT to get a C in any class.

Also, I bet he wouldn't be a b*tch if Les Miles was the one doing this... in state schools always get the benefit of the doubt.
He did it MUCH earlier to a DB from Texas that had enough time to garner an offer from Okie State.

They are so borderline that they need a C in a class to be eligible?

What if they dont get the C they need? What happens to Arkansas?

If LSU fans are so concerned about these kids, they need to call Les and get him to offer them.

Seriously, this is not a simple matter of 'we got somebody better, so sorry about that...'
There's more to it than that.

Sucks for the kids, and would have liked to had them in the class - but they will land somewhere outside the SEC with lower entrance requirements.

Yes it looks like he is accepting blame. I am sure he thinks he disappointed his friends and family. No matter the damage is done. Your school will be lucky to ever sign another kid from that school. Whether you like or not that's the way it is. Also, you piggies keep posting on this board insulting La recruits, because again whether you like it or not this is still an LSU site and their friends, family, teachers, coaches, etc. post and lurk here. That will do much more damage for you here than dropping a couple of recruits.

Arkansas is looking pretty bad down here right now. Hopefully it hurts their recruiting in this area for a few years. Both kids will qualify.

Ok...

No one on here is insulting Louisiana recruits. As a matter of fact, many have said they wished we hadn't had to drop McBride. He would have been an incredible asset to our class with his speed. It's something that is much needed for us at WR as we don't have a guy that can effectively stretch the field against SEC defenses. Unfortunately, that is not the way that it worked out on this one.

However, there is a good chance our four other Louisiana commits will all see playing time next year.

For an SEC school? They haven't yet, and signing day is very near.

I don't see how anyone could take that as an insult.
