Well he delays his signing to today. And then flips to Miami. A bit of a surprise. Thankfully Alabama signed two other TEs.

Are Latu and Billingsley returning?
Posted on 12/17/21 at 12:57 pm to CapstoneGrad06
Called this the other day. Bama is about to get locked out of California and South Florida with Riley and Cristobal.
Saban and Kirby’s days of landing #1 classes are over. Especially with NIL.

Okay dude. Whatever you say. Like we haven’t heard this dozens of times before. But sure, a kid that’s flirted with several schools before Miami was even in the picture, is the straw.

I doubt Latu leaves. But I could see Billingsley taking a chance and leaving early.

What’s your point?
Elijah Brown is the 13th ranked TE
Amari Niblack is an athlete. More of an h-back like current player Jahleel Billingsley.

Saban just signed his highest average per player class.

Amari Niblack is a 6-4, 220 ATH that is thought to probably be an H-Back/Tight End (#173 overall), which is what he played in high school. Elijah Brown is more of an in-line, blocking tight end.
quote:
A well-built athlete with some position ambiguity that has lined up primarily at tight end throughout much of his high school career. First made a name for himself on the offseason camp circuit where he simply looked like a man amongst boys with his defined muscle and ramped up play speed. Followed that up with a strong senior campaign in which he totaled over 650 yards receiving while playing in the Sunshine State’s highest classification. Competitive not only at the catch point, but after the catch as he will weave through traffic and fight for additional yardage. No verified vertical jump on record, but plays above defenders and knows how to box them out, which likely stems from his basketball background. Doesn’t have much, if any, experience as an in-line blocker, but has shown on tape that he will lower his shoulder and try to open up lanes for his teammates. Tested well at multiple college camps, but always room to get a little more explosive. Could eventually make the transition to the defensive side of the ball as a stand-up pass rusher, but ceiling seems to ultimately be the highest as an H-back or move tight end in a modern spread offense. NFL upside.

You called Alabama losing a kid from South Carolina who went to prep school in Tampa as part of something to do with California and South Florida?
Well, alright

Nick Saban who has made a career out of finding a loophole and driving a truck through it is going to get out-foxed in NIL? Not hardly. Same with the transfer portal. You already see him cherry picking every player he wants from the portal to fill a position of need. The dude is a master at roster management.
