Still should take Taylor imo
Just don’t have the numbers. OT, Edge Rusher, Dline and the #1 RB in TDs country are way more important than a 2nd TE

Wow dude I've never seen someone melt over a recruit quite like this lol. Take a chill pill and realize these are high school kids and it isn't the end of the world.

Evans was calling/texting the LSU coaching staff while he was at Bama last week

That's a HUGE pickup for LSU. How many spots are left in LSU's class? I know we have head to heads with them. Evans, Achane, Doyle, Manning, Harris, and maybe McKinley Jackson.

Harris might come down to numbers, with LSU leading for Webb.
They’ll make room for Harris. That I can promise you. Watch our team right now when Klavon goes out. Pass rushers huge. Ali Gaye, Martinez, Cam’Ron Jackson and Kole Taylor are all expandable.

You don’t turn away a top 50 pass rusher. You make room.

From an LSU fan.. you look pretty dumb in this thread. We got a surprise recruit that was #9 overall in the nation. I don't care who was recruiting him. Just be happy.

It's time for LSU to keep recruiting Rakim Jarrett though cause Bama is gonna go after him HARD. Good thing no one can negatively recruit our offense though. Every skill position has the opportunity to be a first round pick.

You don’t pass on Harris. You make the numbers work. He’s an immediate need with experience.

Even though LSU has 3 open spots there are at least 7 must gets available who want in. Interesting how it will work itself out. All very good though!!!

Considering Gilbert will be an EE, barring injury, he'll be splitting time with Thad Moss game 1.

Gilbert will be used more as a WR than TE at LSU.

They will line him up at TE, WR, and HB. Basically what they do now. People who don’t watch LSU don’t realize for instance, that Clyde might line up as an inside slot receiver. You just never know. And this guy will be perfect for that- finding mismatches.

I think (particularly if we're as confident as we seem to be with Caleb Williams in 2021) that both committed QBs might not make it into this class. In today's transfer era of football, 2 quarterbacks in the same class almost never both finish together anyway. May have to choose one.

honestly IDK. I won't put money on him until the ink is dry. He's been great at the troll game so far.

No he wont. He's a tight end dude. He's already 250+ pounds. He will put on more weight once he gets on campus and gets involved in the Strength and conditioning program here. He will be an athletic tight end that we use to create huge mismatches with bc of who has to guard him on the defensive side of the ball. Joe Brady didn't recruit him as a wr, he recruited him as a tight end bc that's what he is and will be. He's just a freak athlete for his size and position, which makes him seem like a wr, but he will be playing tight end for LSU.

Exactly. He's the highest rated tight end ever. LSU is going to use him at that position

Gilbert will step right in where Stephen Sullivan departs. Should be a nice combo of him and Moss next year.
