I’ve heard people argue that the Oklahoma win in the playoff and SEC title win against Auburn would count. However, we’ve seen what Oklahoma looks like in the playoff so can you really count that one? Auburn was beat up in the sec title game and lost 4 games that year. Are y’all hanging your hat on beating Notre Dame twice?

2016
lost to #14 Florida and #22 Tennessee.
Beat #24 Auburn
2017
Lost to #1 Alabama and #10 Auburn
Beat #3 Oklahoma, #10 Auburn, #11 Notre Dame, #19 Mississippi State
2018
Lost to #2 Alabama, #6 LSU, #9 Texas
Beat #7 Florida and #12 Kentucky
2019
Lost to #1 LSU
Beat #6 Florida, #12 Notre Dame, #13 Baylor, and #14 Auburn.
11-8 against ranked teams
9-7 against top 15
4-6 against top 10
1-3 against top 5
Not a bad record in big games for a coach's first 4 seasons.
2020 will be Kirbys most talented team yet.

The games that he loses imo

How about any game he is an underdog ?
You mean like the 2017 SEC Championship game, the 2017 Rose Bowl, the 2017 Notre Dame game, the 2019 Florida game....games like those?
Honestly, we might have been favored in the 2017 ND game, but with our starting QB injured and a true freshman starting his first game and playing at ND, we shouldn't have been.

Yes.
quote:Two of those games were against us in the SEC Championship game and against UCF in their bowl game. They had one player injured going into the game, and the rest were injured in the game....and you forget that they beat two #1 teams (UGA and Alabama and, by the way, those two teams played for the National Championship that year) AND, Auburn would have made the playoff if they had won the SEC Championship game.
Auburn was beat up in the sec title game and lost 4 games that year.
Come on dude. Revisionist history much?

Tennessee loses a lot of big games, then, don't they?

When they say UGA hasn’t won big games they have this stat in mind:
Since CFP started, these are the programs with the most top 10 wins
OSU 15-4
Bama 15-5
LSU 14-6
Clemson 10-4
UGA 8-4
Oregon 7-4
Arizona State 4-3

Yes, a playoff game and SEC championship certainly count.
Georgia had 4 top 10 wins in 2019 alone.

Since CFP started,
UGA has been actually competitive for the playoff for three years of that.
2014-2016 were undertalented UGA football teams in the final two years of Richt and Smart’s first year.

Fortunately for UGA this has been the only recruiting battle they have lost and they lost it to a powerhouse Miami program. No shame in this at all.

Congrats UGA. Hard to see Kirby losing a battle to that staff.
One of those times you’re glad to be wrong
And I know it’s not over, just shocked he already picked Miami

Quay Walker has really set the world on fire with his 30 tackles and 2 sacks headed into his junior year

The decline is real... Recruits are beginning to see that Kirby is a fraud as a head coach..
It's over before it even begun UGA.
