It's pretty shitty. For those who havent followed, as of a few days ago Jarrett said he wasn't signing until February because his school wouldn't allow an early signing ceremony, he was posting on Twitter in LSU gear with a count down clock until singing day and then boom, flips to Maryland on ESD. Trashy.

Apparently Nick Saban is to blame:

Lol, he is the devil and behind all dirty deeds. I hate to lose the kid but that's the way recruiting goes.

The kid had offers from LSU, Georgia and Alabama and picked MARYLAND!!

No way that’s a smart move.

College Park, MD is a much better place to go to school than in Baton Rouge, LA. Just saying...

Exactly. it's a bad look for him that he couldn't be upfront with LSU

He's staying home, sometimes when push comes to shove it's what happens. Hard to fault any kid for ultimately staying home, now he didn't handle this well, but still hard to fault someone for staying home.

No, Maryland will score points but not much else.

Wut? They're the 108th offense in the country. 113th in passing. They don't have a 1000yd receiver this year.

It’s sUcH a bAd loOk foR hIm?!? He’s doesn’t give a frick about LSU or the fans. He’ll be laughing at all of you when he’s cashing his Maryland paychecks because a bunch of grown arse men are melting over a recruit.

For Bama maybe. We’re fricking loaded at receiver

And Louisiana is loaded at WR next year. Skill positions minus QB are not difficult spots for LSU to fill with quality talent. But y'all know that.

Kid is from DC. Maryland is inside the DC loop. He stayed home. Surprising choice given his offers but not too difficult to understand. He will be close to family and he will be the featured WR from Day 1.

Hope LSU can sign Burton. He and Jarrett were very similar players. Functional equivalencies IMO. We just need one. We are now all in for Burton and need to keep Georgia from flipping him. Coach O is probably on it as we speak.

He has been like this the entire recruiting process. I'm honestly shocked he didn't leave LSU earlier so he could troll multiple other fan bases too.

This is the same guy who said he trolled all the "fake fans" from teams he didn't commit to when he committed to LSU.

He’s messed with Ohio state, Tennessee, and now LSU.

Poor kids going to get dominated in some meaningless bowl game in the future

And, not every kid wants to come down south and be in a fish bowl. Jarrett can go to Maryland, be near his family, and be anonymous.

He can be like Diggs who went to MD and has been a great WR in the NFL for 5 years

You can play anywhere in college and be a good pro
