re: How was Joe Burrow not the first unanimous Heisman winner?

Sort of like this board. Someone can post the greatest post in the history of posts and some yahoo will give it a downvote. Just the way it is.

I'm getting old and have been follow LSU football for a LONG time. It seem that with a few notable exceptions the most popular QB on the team is whoever is 2nd string. It's what LSU fans have been doing for decades.
And before you all lose your shite please note that I said "with a few notable exceptions".

As good old Yogi Berra would say "Deja vu all over again..."
re: Eli Ricks. . .still don't understand why he would transfer?!?

LSU was 80th in the country in passing yards allowed and 99th in pass efficiency defense.. The DB room cleared out with the coach gone and the top four CBs either gone pro or transferred and a whole batch of new players coming in. Call me a conspiracy theorist but it all doesn’t sound like a coincidence to me.
Tear it down and start over.

Don't be surprised if you see Dellinger given a shot at center. I think he'd be better inside and could be an outstanding center.

It’s a shame Foster went to LSU and not a school where he could shine.
He was going to Tulane until the day before signing day. A linebacker from Miss. we thought we'd get stiffed us and we offered Moreau at the last minute and signed him. His other offers were Air Force, Cornell, Central Arkansas. LSU was his best offer by a mile.
re: Could Andre Anthony take a medical RS and come back?

He graduated in August 2020. If he came back he’d be working on his PhD.

re: How does IMG recruit players?
Posted by RichardT on 1/6/22 at 2:39 pm
You guys realize IMG is a huge multinational corporation, right? The sports academies are just a small part of what they do. They have their fingers in all sorts of sports and entertainment events and use the academies as a hook to get in with future sports stars in all sports.

re: Quinn Carroll: Notre Dame OL enters the transfer portal.

He was injured as a freshman. Played sparingly his sophomore and junior years and was not considered a potential starter going into next season at ND. Possible he can develop but I don't think he's a plug and play guy. He's still probably better than half the guys we have and can provide some much needed depth.
re: Ravens DC pregame "I don't think we're ready to buy a gold jacket for Joe yet"

Moral of the story: "Do not piss off Joe fricking Burrow."
I remember a reporter asking Joe before the Texas A&M game in 2019 if the 7 overtime loss the year before was motivation going into the game. He gave that sly grin of his and said "maybe". The final was 50-7. DO NOT PISS JOE OFF!!

Even with the soap opera the end of his time here was, how can you not love Mathieu? Gave us that magical '11 season in which he should've won the Heisman and has been nothing but helpful to LSU since leaving. Can't ask for a better ambassador imo
Not to mention the impressive amount of money he's given the Athletic Dept.

Yep.
re: Former LSU DB commit, current ND player Khari Gee enters transfer portal

I think we're going to get a couple of Notre Dame transfers but I don't think he's one of them. The transfer portal is going to get crazy after bowl season. A lot will have to do with who the coordinators are.
Just my take.

re: CBK gonna let the band play neck?

My guess is that what the band plays is one of the last things on Kelly's mind right now.
How about he thnk about filling out his staff, the transfer portal, and finishing recruiting first?

USC looks like the team to beat for him.

This guy is grandstanding and an idiot
LSU, LSU Athletic Dept, and TAF are all non-profits for tax purposes. This is what he wants to investigate. Non-profits have different tax laws when it comes to paying employees, particularly top executives.
I'm not in any way suggesting LSU is doing anything wrong. I'm just saying what this yahoo is basing his "investigation" on.
Just as a point of reference the NFL home office is a non-profit. They pay Goodell $62 million a year.
Does the term "witch hunt" come to mind?
UVA OC Olusegun Oluwatimi is in the transfer portal.

O/U will be about 100. I expect a LOT of scoring from both teams.
