Iirc, Noah Sewell has at least one brother who's currently playing at a different school than his brother Penei, who's at Oregon.

He's got 3 brothers, and every one plays at a different school...

That’s 6-foot-5 Penei Sewell. He was rated as the nation’s No. 2 OG prospect in 2019 before he signed with Oregon. Nephi Sewell, another son, signed with Utah as a 2-star safety in 2017. Gabe Sewell, a 3-star LB in 2015, will be a senior at Nevada this fall.
They of course all play out west, so there's that... but growing buzz that Sewell really wants to play in the SEC and carve his own path. I think there may be some hesitancy to go to Oregon and play LB given the general lack of success at getting guys to the league at the position in recent years.

Yeah, he’s at Nevada and another at Utah. Both were not Oregon caliber. The problem with Georgia is the family doesn’t have the budget to fly all over the country to see them play. I think in the end that plays a big role. I also think having a bunch of polys helps a lot. They’ve already dealt with a homesick kid.
In the end, I think he comes to Oregon. However, he’s not 100% lock.

Yeah, as I mentioned... I'll believe we land him when I see it, but if he picks Oregon, it's not like it's a hard to understand choice.

If it comes down to this, it will be Oregon. Dye will go in the first two rounds and linebacker play has been a strength and will be the strength this fall. Avalos can point to Vander Esch and dudes he coached up at BSU. Wilson will point to Aguayo and Pueller in this upcoming draft at WSU.

I’m sure the Sewell’s and Ringo’s mom can work out some frequent flyer miles. Dawgs invading the West this cycle

Problem is until those guys actually make it to the NFL and get noticed on NFL teams, there’s comparatively little notoriety for them in college out West as opposed to linebackers in the SEC

Oregon has a lot of backers in the league. You might want to pump the brakes and fact check. Both Jelks and Holland were linebackers in the last draft.

In the 5th and 7th round...
Obviously Kiko Alonso has been great, but outside of that I’m not sure I can name a LB in the league from Oregon and definitely can’t remember them having a linebacker go in the first round.

Ringo - Arizona (likely UGA commit)
Sewell - Utah (UGA/Oregon/ATM battle)
Milton - California (committed to UGA)
Washington - Nevada (UGA leads)
Ricks - California (UGA sneaking in picture-LSU commit)
yessir, I would say UGA has opened up the West Coast recruiting office

Is he not a defensive end?

I got ya. I just remember him as a defensive end. Do y’all have anyone from the inside?
That’s what Sewell will be playing, correct?

So, he was overrated? That just means he got exposure he needed at Oregon.
Whether they're a bust in the NFL doesn't really matter. Oregon gets good viewership, they play a home and away with tOSU the next two years and he would be surrounded by Oregon's best blue chip talent at LB. Avalos and Wilson are the two best developers on the staff. I don't think he's a lock to Oregon but if this is the biggest selling point, Oregon wins the recruiting battle.

Kiko Alonso and Spencer Paysinger. However, Avalos coached Vander Esch and Wilson coached Pueller. They're the two best developers on the staff.

First time watching film on the kid. Honestly the most impressive thing to me was how he doesn’t just throw his shoulder and try to blow people up with big hits. Pretty much every tackle was textbook wrapping up, being more concerned with getting them on the ground than making a highlight hit.

This is exactly why I had him prioritized over Flowe... Sewell has textbook tackling technique along with ridiculous speed/quickness. Flowe is more or less just as fast, and hits like a ton of bricks, but seems to be more interested in throwing the shoulder to hit hard than ensuring that the guy goes to the ground.
