South Carolina Track and Field has been in a low spot it seems for a while now, maybe he can inject some life back in that program.

That would be awesome for y'all. Looking forward to him playing!

Congrats to the Gamecocks, what an awesome get!

What a get. I do want to say that Beamer and company put in a lot of work on this, and to be pushed so hard at the end by Oregon and the Nike money was frustrating. This should be a testament to the character of Harbor. If he continues those ways he not only be successful in football, but in life too. Good luck young man.

From all accounts, he seems like an excellent kid from a phenomenal family.
He wants to be an orthopedic surgeon. Part of his decision was based around SC's kinesiology department. He'll be a fixture in Dr Guy's office.
Happy he picked SC, for sure, but I'm curious to see just what kind of mismatches he creates.

Below is North Carolinas cornerbacks he will face the 1st game. Who below has the physical attributes to cover him...not counting his speed.

#3 Storm Duck, 6’0?, 200, Jr.
#6 Lejond Cavazos, 6’0.5?, 190, So.
#14 Dontae Balfour, 6’1?, 180, R-Fr.

It honestly doesn't matter if his hands are so-so. Being able to stretch the field on deep routes with Juice will really open up a lot of underneath.
If the comparisons to Randy Moss are legit, that's incredible praise.

Millions on the football field or 40k a year to be in the Olympics...yeah he should definitely go that.

Kid should just cut down and shoot for the Olympics instead of wasting time on the football field
His track coach to be at Carolina spent about 10-15 mins yesterday talking about how much football would help him in his track career.

He could win the heisman next year if Cocky uses him correctly...

Congrats. He’s a stud. I was surprised he picked you only because of the track team, but his future is football anyway. He will be fun to watch. Seems like a good kid and takes education serious.

I didn't follow Harbor's recruitment that close since UGA never felt like they were really in it for the kid - although they tried.
Seeing he is from Wash DC area (on 247) - what exactly was Beamer's pitch and what made Cocky so attractive to the kid?

Beamer was the first to offer him 4 years ago when he was still a freshman. (Beamer was still at OK at the time). He's built the relationship from there.
Plus Harbor's mom liked Beamer's little dog boomer...

Short answer is that Beamer and staff put a lot of effort into recruiting DMV in this most recent cycle. Got some of Harbor's friends, and there was the existing relationship (as Lonnie said).
Harbor mentioned many times that USC felt like home more than anywhere else.
Traditionally, USC has always had a lot of out of state student from the DC area.

well good for Beamer....he's a likeable guy and was having a tough go of it until TennRC game. Of course as a Dawg, always wanna beat their azz but can easily root for Cocky when playing VOLS and GATORS.
