It's really funny. People troll by saying a player is a lock to their school. More often than not, though, most fans always think the big recruit everybody wants can't be coming to their school.

I am always surprised when a major recruit comes to Georgia unless it is pretty much a done deal. If there is any doubt at all, I always expect them to go to another school.

There's one HUUUGEE difference. 2019 LSU Tigers, National Champions and the GOAT. Surtain claimed he went to Bama to play for championships, little did he know the train that was coming through the tunnel was LSU.

I’ve definitely heard good things, but getting anyone out of Louisiana that LSU wants, especially a player of Maason’s caliber is so difficult.

Looks like it will be a battle. It will be tough for them to say no to either school it seems.

After watching the 2019 hit series "The Life and Adventures of Zach Evans: the Man, the Myth, the 'Where did he end up Anyway?'", I'll believe this kid is coming out of LA when I see him on the field in the 2021 season. Not a moment before.

I hope we get him, but wouldn't be shocked if he goes to LSU.

He would be a great Dawg.

What position would Maason play in uga's defense NT or DE?
That might somewhat come to play in his decision making.

At 316LBS I would think he would play NT or DT (In a 4-3) in any defense.

uga's base defense is a 3-4 right? I know he would be a DT at LSU. Just wondering where he would fit in at uga?

With Bo Pelini, it'll be a 4-3 defense.

Correct.

As the NT, which would be similar to the DT at LSU. At 316 LBS you aren't going to have him charging off the edge.

I should say that I have not seen this anywhere, but I am guessing. It makes sense to me.

Georgia plays both odd and even fronts.

At that size, he could do both NT and DT in the odd front. Either in an even front as well.

He said in the Dawgnation article posted earlier UGA has talked to him about playing both the 3 and the 5 technique (NT and DE).

“I honestly think it is,” Smith said. “I am 100 percent sure that I will be playing college football with Korey Foreman. Yeah.”

I'm not saying this won't happened but it is extremely rare for this to happen. The odds are greater that Smith and Foreman will be playing at different colleges next season.

My personal opinion is that Foreman will end up staying on the west coast. Smith I think is a lean to LSU, he kinda scares me because he seems like a kid that might want to get out the state. That would be a major kick to the nuts losing a player the caliber of Smith being he is from bayou country and is in Coach O's back yard literally.

Apparently Foreman was very upset that the PAC-12 cancelled football. I think it’s between Georgia, LSU, and Clemson.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why these people may be biased or pumping sunshine. Do they have a target market? Do they have financial incentive to please said market?

A 3 technique lines up over the guards outside shoulder while the 5 lines up over the tackle. In a 3-4 think strong side and weak side “end”
