Only thing that concerns me is he has said more than a few times he's not a lsu fan and doesn't feel like he owes lsu any loyalty. I wouldn't be suprised if he left the state, hoping im wrong going to be a long rest of the year

A 3 technique lines up over the guards outside shoulder while the 5 lines up over the tackle. In a 3-4 think strong side and weak side “end”

Except that UGA actually uses a 4 man front quite often so he would still be a 3 tech for us.

I believe what he has said is that he did not grow up being an LSU fan.

How can he live in Houma and not be a LSU fan?

Seriously. he is in LSU's backyard. I was born in Baton Rouge, and growing up my parents got my brothers and me gold sweaters with purple LSU on the them. I thought all Louisiana kids grew up that way. Did he grow up in Louisiana or did they move there?

He said that his father was an FSU fan and his mother only liked the Saints. He chose to be a Bama fan early on to be different, because he did not grow up an LSU fan. He has NOT said that is currently is not an LSU fan. That is some LSU fans reading too much into comments based on their own pessimism.

I'll be shocked if Smith does not end up at LSU....however, I don't mind being shocked from time to time.

Strange how one particular school doesn’t seem to be as involved in LA recruiting post Orgeron

I guess that particular school just stopped liking players from Louisiana.

My personal opinion is that Foreman will end up staying on the west coast.

Apparently Foreman was very upset that the PAC-12 cancelled football. I think it’s between Georgia, LSU, and Clemson.

I agree with you. IMO, he was all SC until the pac 12 went full retard. I see tons of west coast recruits heading south.

If they do end up following through and being a package deal, this thread may be 3000 pages by time a pen hits paper in February.

I've seen the package deal thing fall apart too many times to believe it. However, I like our chances due to O's relationship with Smith if they do decide to stick together.

Smith is weird. LSU fans seem to think he leans Georgia and Georgia fans seem to think he leans LSU.

Usually everyone thinks they’re the favorite

Either way someone is getting a stud D - Tackle. I think at the end of the day O pulls him in, but it’s going to be a battle.

Trust me. We can get a player out of louisiana, but it is extremely difficult and very rare when LSU really wants him, too.
If it is a big time player, then I will always assume he is going to LSU.

If Foreman and Smith go to LSU, I will think they both liked LSU. if they both go to Georgia I will think there was something to them being a package deal.

It seems odd to think that way, but it shows just how difficult I think it is to pull a kid out of Louisiana.

What are you talking about. Foreman almost committed to UGA before choosing Clemson. The fact that he decommited it seems Foreman wants to commit to UGA but with Smith in the mix he is holding off.........for now.

You assume an awful lot. I can't count the number of times that a kid decommitted from one team and never went to the team that came in 2nd for him before his initial commitment.

I am not saying you are wrong. I am saying that signs pointed to Southern Cal not too long ago. In fact a couple of our insiders said they thought it would be Southern Cal and if not SC possibly us. So we were not the assumed pick just because he decommitted from Clemson.

Don't misunderstand....I hope we get them both. If not both I hope we get one. But I am not going to be surprised if we get neither.

ETA
BTW, I saw your post got downvoted....wasn't me.

I'm an LSU fan, but I'm smart enough to know that Georgia will get the 5*s they want. Usually happens signing day too and LSU fans get mad. I'm not getting my hopes up

We get our share....and probably somebody elses, too, truth be known.

LSU tends to be a top 5 in recruiting, so LSU is always dangerous. Add to that that we are talking about a Louisiana kid....it would be off the chain if we could pull him, but I am not going to hold my breath.
