I predict more drama on this one. This has the makings of one of those press conferences where half the family mad at announcement and other half happy and the LOI doesn’t get sent in a timely manner, etc, etc.
Sounds like LSU is the new leader but I would recommend keeping the champagne on ice.
(FTR, UGA not a player in this one)

Sound advice here, fellas. There's a lot of time left in this one and SC has home field advantage. They could literally send someone to visit him every day this week.

I hope they do.
It's either us or Cocks, don't want him going anywhere else.

Long Dawg, I’m gonna be honest. You’re probably the only Georgia fan I can tolerate. Everybody else, not so much

This thing is about as 50/50 as it gets but I know he's a kid an all but when you make a commitment video talking about what the word stands for and all that BS and then keep doing this visiting shady BS then I lose respect for you and your family with how they're handling this. Most times, kids with this much drama turn out to be head cases, they suck, or they're weirdos like Sam Montgomery

I hope Burch ends up at LSU but I agree with everything you said. I'm still leaning towards him ending up with the Cocks because he seems like he'd be bothered by fan reaction to him committing on national television and then flipping. Although him not actually signing, visiting BR, etc. probably has gotten some harsh feedback already.
I want the best kids at LSU, but if you're confident enough to commit to a school (especially in such a public showing) I think you should have the stones to stick by your pledge. If he had any doubts about where he wanted to go he should have waited to commit.

The young man seems to be on roller coaster of emotions. Torn between where he wants to play and where he wants be.
Jordan was sold on a 'stay home and play ball' recruiting theme. Then the very person that sold him on staying home, his son chose to play 1500 miles away because that was best for him. This or something seems to have changed the family's thought process last week.
I wish Jordan the very best whether it is LSU, USCe, or any school of his choice. But heavens, I would love to see him at LSU.

It’s his life and his choice. People change their minds all the time. He’s a kid. Stop letting kids dictate your opinion on how you feel about them. At the end of the day he’s going to make the best decision for him not anyone else. If he choose to be a Cock then so be it. If he choose to be a Tiger then so be it.

Yeah I will be the first to admit it’s frustrating when we lose a kid we wanted to another school. The same for all of us young-old fans/alums of our preferred college team.
But you are right. It’s the kid’s decision and they need to go where they want to go. If Burch prefers LSU over USC, he should go there and his parents should shutup and support him. If Burch wants to be closer to home - then do that. Just do what you want, Jordan and don’t let anyone else tell you different.
It’s difficult for these 17/18yr old kids - it’s mostly the first important decision they have to make - and it is a very public decision for the top guys when college coaches, high school coaches, family, friends and hangers on all have their stakes and opinions on where you should go.

That's easy for us to say, but there is a ton of pressure coming from all directions on these kids. Burch did not look happy when he committed. Just my observation. The whole thing felt like he was pressured to do it and buckled.
Choosing a college was hard enough for me at age 17. I had to weigh all of the pros and cons with little world experience and try to make value comparisons based on in state versus out of state, available scholarships, housing options and the like. Now, add pressure from friends, family, community, and probably booster money and perks to the mix. Few 30 year-olds could handle that let alone 17-18 year-old kids, many of whom come from broken homes and borderline poverty.

Jackson Muschamp didn't have a scholly offer with the Gamecocks thats why he chose Colorado state.

I am guessing dad could have afforded South Carolina to walk on if that is where he wanted to be

Some people want to make it on their own. Hard to be a QB and your dad is the HC.

Is there another Muschamp kid or is Jackson the one that's friends with Burch?

Yeah he could've walked on. But he probably wants a better opportunity to win the job eventually than he'd get at SC. I had assumed he would've walked on as well though. As for Burch I wish the kid the best. Theres some young elite talent building on the Carolina dline he ought to find appealing though.

Yeah Jackson is Burch's QB and buddy too from my understanding
