Aledo coach Tim Buchanan said that four-star wide receiver JoJo Earle, who is committed to @LSUfootball, will not sign Wednesday. Buchanan said Earle is re-evaluating his options and plans to sign in February.

Jimbo in his ear?

I wonder why OP would say reopening in thread title instead of re-evaluating, which is the actual quote.

Are you seriously crying about me using "Reeopening Recruitment" vs "re-evaluating his options"?

Do please share all the major differences between the two.

Re-opening almost always is saying decommitted, he's not decommitted, just checking out final options before the next signing day. Pretty big difference.

Many committed players tend to check out other schools while committed, that's still evaluating your options but not necessarily while decommitted/opening up the recruitment.

Saying "reopening" is a bit disingenuous here. If this is "re-opening" then every committed kid who talks to any other school has "re-opened" their recruitment which just sounds weird to say.

Nobody's crying. Just curious why you didn't you use the actual word used in the tweet.

Yeah, that's why I was careful about wording in the thread title on Scooby Williams delaying signing to Feb.

ETA: He's already tweeted that he's signing tomorrow after all.

There are distinct differences between the way you conduct yourself around here and the way the OP does.

I’m guessing he was told there would be a new offensive staff next year and he wants to see what direction they go in.

Man if he sticks with LSU and TAMU can't pull him after their best season in years that's saying something. Dude is like Waddle.

I guess that means that like 60% of committed players aren't committed then.

He's very good and a clear take but lets not start calling him "Waddle Good". He's very shifty but missing that top gear that Waddle possesses

so basically every committed player isn't committed. Almost all committed players are constantly hearing their options right up until they sign.

Again huge difference in saying "evaluating options" while being committed and "REOPENING RECRUITMENT". Reopening recruitment basically means decommitted, Earle is not decommitted right now. The OP was intentionally misleading with the thread title.

ANY recruit that delays signing isn't really "committed". It means they have serious concerns, and are actively exploring other options.

The semantics here aren't difficult. Saying someone is "reopening" their recruitment means they are DECOMMITING. Those are always almost synonymous to one another. Players who are committed are always evaluating their options until they decide to sign. When someone is listening to other schools while being committed it doesnt mean they are "REOPENING" their recruitment. When a commit doesnt sign on ESD it doesn't automatically mean:
1. They are decommitted
2. They have "re-opened" their recruitment

Changing "re-evaluating" into "Re-opening" is an extremely liberal use of that word in the recruiting world and just really intentionally misleading given the fact the OP is getting hammered 1 UV to 8 DV as I finish this
