Dude was blowing up, getting major hype and then had a bad camp or 2....
Some folks backed off, others watched him a bit more through the season and through some minor injuries. He showed out once more.
We got a good one here, regardless of who offered. I know for sure LSU didn't, hopefully they will regret it.

Yeah. I have no idea what exactly happened with Bush. Y'all are doing a good job getting all those boot hogs, that's for sure.
Hopefully we don't regret passing on him.
No reason to give us the middle finger, though. It's not like we were going head to head in a heated recruiting battle for the kid.

I watched him several times this year. If he's coached well, he could be a solid player for y'all. The reason LSU cooled on him last summer was his lack of top end speed and at times, he's a little slow out of his breaks to make a play on the ball. Like most kids, you're not completely sure how their game will translate to college.

We wanted him at one time, then he camped and we cooled. Rumor was he was gonna commit back in semptember, but we told him not to like 24 hours before he was going to announce. I think we backed off when Burrell and Fields were getting ready to commit.
I think he's a good player, but clearly LSU, Tennessee and Georgia all saw something they didn't like, and/or had other players they liked more in the bag.

Not that simple though partially correct. We took 2 CBs during that camp. The juco kid that eventually was told to play S and flipped to WVU, after TAM pressed him. The other was Cordale Flott who we convinced to sign early when he was wavering. Also got our first serious look at Raydarius Jones who we signed. Add Stingley and Hampton and no room.
We liked guys better. Also liked all those guys better than other instate kids we liked. Chester Kimbrough, the Brooks kid y'all signed and another I can't remember the name. Doesn't mean any of them will not be good. They just won't be good at DBU where college legends are made.

More importantly, we (Hogs) are developing a presence in LA schools that produce talent. Eventually we are going to get a player from LA that you can't deny that you offered.

LSU was very interested in Bush until he showed up at summer camp overweight and ran a very slow 40 time.
Bush basically lost his schollie offer that day when LSU sawcwhrre he was compared to others at camp.

The kid is a baller. He is a good player. But he didn't catch the eye of our staff. He is a good player. You'll should be happy. Congrats!
