Good luck to him. Glad he isn't playing football in the SEC.

Would be just their luck for Clemson to actually land him and get him on campus

Heavy rumors are that he’s going to commit to the national champions, so I’ll be happy he won’t be a problem for most of us anyway even if he does pull a Kyler

Now we don’t have to hold a scholarship spot for a kid that isn’t coming to school. I wish he would play college football at Ole Miss obviously because the kid is talented but the MLB money is going to be too much to pass on. Sure the school that signs him will have a ton of time to try and change his mind so good luck to Clemson trying to do that.

Where is he projected to go in the MLB draft?

Clemson has 27 signed. How many more can they take?

ETA: after trying to do some searching, I saw a couple of mocks with him top 15/20.

1st Round some day as high as top 15. He set the record for 60 time at a Perfect Game event this summer. Dude would be unreal as a RB in the SEC but not even our bagmen can touch 4.4 million or whatever that slot would be. Plus you don’t get tackled all day every day by giants in baseball

Jerrion Ealy is projected 8th overall in the latest @BaseballAmerica mock draft. That pick carried a $4,980,700 slot value last year.
Per an ole miss rivals writer Chase Parham

Clemson doesn't allow committed prospects to visit. Ealy wants to visit Clemson, thus he decommits.
He will provide a nice rating bump for whoever he signs with but that's about it.

That's not quite the way Dabo runs it. He doesn't want OUR commits to take visits. He tells them you're All In or you're not.
Someones else's commits can come by all day - they obviously aren't all in with their choice.

Yeah I 0% believe that Clemson would turn away an elite recruit because he's committed elsewhere.

That sounds so unbleievably hypocritical. “Yo if you’re committed to me no visiting elsewhere but hey, commits of other school, come check us out.”
I don’t believe it.

Mullen had that motto at MSU.

Nothing hypocritical about that at all. If a player is truly committed he shouldn't be looking around, right?

He would be an idiot to turn that down.

If he flames out in 4-5 years he can always go back and give college football a try. It worked for Brandon Weeden.

Peterson at Washington doesn't allow committed kids(to other schools) to visit. At least did at one time in recent(2-3) years.
