So weird to play for dad, especially in college, I personally wouldn't want to.

Maybe if he was a position coach I wasn't in or something, but not my position coach or the head coach especially.

That puts a whole lot of pressure on father and son. Not a knock on either guy, but I would never fathom such an arrangement.

I really hope that if he ever starts for us, he kills it because if he sucks it's going to be a shite storm of epic proportions between the fans and the Morris'.

Yeah, might be a lot of drama if Chandler ends up starting and struggles. But Brandon and Austin Allen both started at QB with their father Bobby on staff. Not really the same as being the head coach though.

Yeah and BAs truck got torched, imagine what it's going to be like if the Head Coaches son starts and screws up.

Surly he will be a walk on, correct? Chad wouldn’t use a scholarship on his son I wouldn’t think

That would be hilarious . . . you know your Dad is getting paid Top 1% money but you take the scholly anyway.

It will be interesting to see how he pans out. HP is such a system offense and they have not had a truly transcendent player in behind center since Matt Stafford. They start those kids in the offense in 7th grade. It made John Stephen Jones look like Drew Brees on the high school level.

Yeah . . his dad seems pretty invested in the young man's career. He already pissed you guys off by flying home to watch the kid's high school game and the Hogs subsequently getting steam-rolled by North Texas.

He’s a four star - not like he’s a scrub

He’s a big time QB.

I think we’ll be just fine with dad as coach.

Great pick up. My friends out in Dallas have said he can really ball.

I mean it's not like he really had much of a choice. What is he going to do, piss both of his parents off? Good pickup for the arkies, and it takes them out of the Haynes King sweepstakes

This. He’s not even big enough to play kicker.
I’m not watching his film, because I don’t know enough about talent/mechanics to be a critic. I’ve seen too many HS qb’s set the world on fire, but never elevated their skill set to the next level.

Arkansas fans, help me understand why you’re excited about this Cub Scout who’s about to be your quarterback.

Spare me the Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Johnny Football comparisons. He’s not one of them.

FTR, I’m not excited about either one of LSU’s FOUR STAR QB commits, but that’s because I have been let down by QB development the last, IDK, what day is it... 12 years. I don’t remember having a good 4 star qb who signed with LSU as a recruit since Matt Flynn in ‘03

You can be a good college QB at 5'10". The weight is what would concern me.
