Frankly, it is probably more of shitty reporting than anything else. More than likely he was told we won't be sending him a NLOI and the sites ran with that as we are pulling his offer.
It has been assumed the kid won't be in our class for close to a month now.

He has a totally different concept of the word "commitment" than most of us do.

Regardless, the writing has been on the wall that this kid didn't want to be in this class for a while now.

Think of the timeline here. Says he texts Gus that he wants to decommit on Sunday, announces his signing event on Tuesday, reports he's not getting an NLI from AU leak out today.
