That was a bad rumor. There was a reason for him staying and it was family related. No reason to bring it up again.

This SVP get is great. But I'm sure his parents moving to GA soon helped. Would LSU have been more of a player if they were staying put? I don't know.

You'd be surprised at all the Athens kids that left the state.

His parents aren't moving, just some of his extended family. And from his own words them moving didn't impact his decision at all.

Okay. I've missed that info. One of the professional recruiting coverage guys had some bad info that one then.

6’4” is his listed height. That isn’t small for a Center. I believe the weight is 300 +/-. College training table and nutrition will get him up to 310-320. Plenty big enough.

Quinnen Williams said Lamont Gaillard was best Center he faced last year and he topped out around 305-310.

I for one, am very salty about this. Position of need... LSU's backyard... enough said. No way to sugar coat this one. What UGA is doing on the recruiting trail, especially on the Offensive Line, is INSANE. Pittman should be one of the highest paid assistants in College Football. Congrats on the get Dawgs. Will be a good one. Hoping LSU can flip SVP back to the good guys before NSD.

LSU takes plenty of big time players from other teams' backyards (including UGA). Y'all will be more than fine.

Take a look at our current class. While star studded, we all know where games are won and lost.. trenches. Our offensive line recruiting this cycle has been atrocious. Go take a peek at the LSU Recruiting board sometime. Everyday there is a melt regarding the Oline, rightfully so.

We better start developing talent and getting some players drafted highly, or we will continue to struggle. We are playing 5 guards at all five positions. Cushenberry at Center is a stud... after that, we have 2 natural guards starting at both tackle spots.

SVP would not have helped our need at tackle, but an elite center/guard in your backyard and swinging/missing on is tough. I respect SVP as it does not look like he led LSU on. I will never be upset with a kid for deciding what is best for him. If leaving the State is what he and his family decide, i wish them the best. We take our fair share of OOS talent, so being upset would be hypocritical. Wish more fans would realize that.
