#1. NLI’s don’t exist anymore. Financial papers are what’s signed and he could have signed papers from both schools.

#2. State took his brother last year to get Tyler. They threatened his brothers scholarship. Momma made the decision for both her sons to be on scholarship at State instead of Tyler going where he wanted. And state people are celebrating this.

According to Steve Robertson (I know I know) we got his papers with his signatures and reported him as a signee. However mom hadn’t actually e-signed and we were chasing her to sign all afternoon, along with Tyler and she just flat out refused to. She had the document signed for State and once Tyler signed tonight they sent it in. Just an incredibly shitty situation. I would feel bad for him even if it was another school he was having to flip back from.

Wow then, what a strange situation. I have to assume MSU had some NIL money involved too? Mom probably did’t want one son at MSU and one at OM. But then the first son could have portaled to MS if they wanted him or had an opening too.

I don’t know who to blame. Just a messy situation.

Welcome to SEC recruiting baw.

Should’ve been around for the
pre-legal-NIL era.

Telling a kid that he either comes to your school, or you take it out on his brother is pretty vile. The kid now feels like a captive, and his brother feels like a charity case.

Whatever helps you cope. Lockhart was sitting in Lebby's office when he called Lane and told him he was flipping to OM. Lane pissed off Lebby with the twitter nonsense trolling and Lebby used Lane's own game of flipping your own recruit on him. It was all planned. Right down to the weird "signing" ceremony

Maybe he wants to lose 9 or 10 games next year. If that’s his goal then Mississippi State is the right school for this young man. Best of luck to him

The real ouch is what happened here.

So when the kid says he's going to Ole Miss, the head football coach at Miss State declares that he will revoke the scholarship of his older brother. And tells the mother this, so the mother refuses to sign the kid's NLI. So the kid reluctantly signs with a school he doesn't want to attend, under threat of that school harming his family?

And the ED quotes are:

"That's how you handle business!"

"At least Lebby shows he will fight for recruits."

Are you so smooth brained that you think this is a win for Mississippi State? If you want to know why your football program is a dumpster fire....this. This is why.

Seems like the kind of kid State fans would hate. I wish him the best.

The sad thing is you think this is a win. You've taken enough Ls, I'll give you that.
