I love what LSU has done in the portal thus far. Rumors abound that we will get a few more when the playoff teams are done with their games. I like where we are at with the roster as a whole though. Filled alot of positions of need while cutting some dead weight at the same time.

Interesting note on Lacy, apparently he wanted to stay for Missouri's bowl game and Drink said not necessary

I’m glad we got him but what a dumbass thinking a coach is going to let you stay on while you’ve committed to play for another school

Apparently Boo Carter wants more money from us and to play some offense wherever he goes in 2025. Hasn't entered the portal officially.
An insider basically said this is one of those negotiation things that usually is done quietly under the table that no one ever hears about, but this got out somehow. So I imagine he stays but we will see.

Props to the kids for wanting to show out and advocate for themselves, but Travis Hunter is just at another level IMO.
But you do hear stories about how like Saban for instance wanted JuJu Smith Schuster and Amon-Ra St Brown to play DB. I bet both would have been great DBs and both have played at a high level in the NFL at WR too.

If a guy had equal skills to be a DB or a WR then Saban was always going to stick him at DB first. BJ Scott, Cyrus Jones, Travon Diggs all did some of both before ending up on defense. Mbakwe was kind of the same mold, as a lot of schools would have had him on offense the minute he stepped on campus, but he wanted to play DB for Saban. Once Saban left he decided he'd rather be a WR (and has the skills to be good at it).

crazy how people ignore all the stat padding done for hunter and sanders at colorado.
