We have a history of whiffing on big time prospects, but give Jimbo credit, he works hard on recruiting and getting such a high ranked player from Northshore on campus repeatedly is evidence of that.

I'm going to predict he goes to LSU and run the risk of being pleasantly surprised.

A LSU insider said they’re starting to get annoyed with his antics that’s why they put Curry out there on Saturday

Jimbo recruited that heweytown QB who's character was so low Saban spent extra time just so he wouldn't go to Auburn. -Who wanted his dumb arse bad enough to get caught cheating while recruiting him, and was banned from any more contact.

The kid who's dad would turn up the volume on the tv just to fuk with coaches recruiting his kid.

The QB who stole crab legs and raped his way thru college.

The dumb-arse that yelled out "fuk her in the pussy" in the lunch room.

I hope Jimbo learned sometimes it aint wort it. He's got the money to avoid kids like that now.

So...the LSU coaches are playing Curry to just to keep him from transferring? Why would Emery be ok with this? Why wouldn't the coaches worry that this would piss Emery off, leading him to consider transferring?

I'm just not sure I buy into this strategy. It doesn't make a ton of sense making your 4th string, 3* running back happy at the expense of a 3rd string 5* guy.

I think it's more likely that Curry simply passed Emery on the depth chart due to a better knowledge of the playbook.

So he showed up to A&M on a random Sunday and he’ll be back in a few days. Wow. I wonder why. Do you think he’s still considerIng A&M?

Is a big hedge. Par for the course with our insiders. I like all of them but in reality they don't know much more than the fans do. Little more clarity but when it comes down to it I can follow tea leaves and make educated guesses. It's gonna get harder and harder as time goes on as well.

Problem with many insiders is that they buy into silent commits when it's not wise to do so. Kids sometimes are silents to multiple schools. Some designed to throw off "experts" some just because they can't say no. Tough job for insiders.

Agreed. This particular recruit is one of the more egregious examples as well.

definitely. they all do it. which makes covering a kid like zach all that more difficult

Sounds like he’s trending away from LSU.

He'd be a huge get for LSU but LSU can do without him tbh, they're going to have Davis-Price and Emery for another 2 years (and whoever plays second fiddle may be around for a 3rd).

If LSU misses on him it'll just create a marginally bigger need for next year.

To be honest, though, I still have no idea why RBs who clearly want to be feature backs looks so hard at A&M. Seems to happen a decent amount and I've never understood why. It's not that they are especially predisposed to do a committee approach, it's just never been an offense that really feeds a running back. Spiller is A&M's guy by a mile this year and he's just shy of 900 yards. I mean, LSU has had one of the best passing years ever for SEC schools and Edwards-Helaire is pushing 1,300 yards on the ground.
