Did you miss the second half of his sentence that involved Cager.

Because he has played in more games than Cager. Cager has more yards and TDs in games against our Top 25 opponents. Most of Pickens grabs have been in games against Mizzou, Kentucky, Carolina, and Arkansas St. Cager did a lot of his work against Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Florida and played one series against Auburn and obviously sat out Tech

I read the second part of the post. It just didn't support the silly notion that Pickens hasn't been an important piece UGA's offense.

5-star RB Zach Evans delays announcement (247Sports | segments)
quote:

Zach Evans' college announcement has been delayed. The 5-star running back out of Houston (TX) North Shore HS was scheduled to announce his commitment on Dec. 4, with LSU trending heavily in the 247Sports Crystal Ball. According to a person close to his recruitment, Evans has decided to postpone that decision. Evans later confirmed the decision with 247Sports over text message...

Evans is making strides to try to enroll early at the school of his choice, so this recruitment isn’t likely to extend into February. According to the source, the most likely date for his commitment announcement is now Jan. 2 at the Under Armour All-American Game, though he is likely to sign during the early signing period which begins on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

The extended announcement deadline is good news for Texas A&M and Georgia, with Texas A&M perhaps mounting the most serious contention to LSU. Both LSU and Texas A&M have received official visits from Evans this fall...

I think I’m qualified to state that until late he hasn’t been a crucial part of our offense. Have you watched every one of our games? There have been stretches where he wasn’t even targeted until the game was in hand despite being on the field. He runs piss poor routes despite being as athletically gifted as any receiver we’ve had since AJ Green. Cager, Wolf, and evening Blaylock have been more crucial to our actual winning of games. If you want to make the argument that he draws an extra defender or safety then fine but his suspension for the SECCG being crucial has more to do with the absence of Cager than it does anything Pickens has actually been relied on to do to win games this year up to this point

It can be annoying, but what would UGA have been this season without Pickens?

Derailed your own thread off topic.

You can dig up your old Evans thread if you are feeling sore about it.

He had a very nice conversation with Jimbo and co this week right before he delayed it. It was probably just coincidental.

I don't think we lead , but we've been recruiting him hard the whole time.

I still really like the combo of Smith and Achane. Evans would be nice though.
