We can't recruit an offensive lineman to save our life. It's a giant red flag

may play in 3 years. I guess LSU is a developmental School on the Oline. We need tackles not more guard projects. Let the down votes begin. The big boys get studs on the OL/DL LSU seems to have trouble getting the studs at these positions. Why is LSU struggling bringing in top talent in the trenches???

Not every 5 star will be great
Not every 3 star will be bad
Martinez is projected to be a Right Tackle for us in a year or so, he's a guard now but his frame and body are perfect for Tackle.
His offer list is also insane, a bunch of top schools in the country offered him, I'd say it's a great get. Stop trying to bring down recruits.

So you just proved my point. Once again LSU is taking a guard and converting them to a tackle. Seems like LSU cant recruit big time natural tackles out of high school. This is why LSU has been bad at the position for years.

Georgia had success with Cody Glenn (he was a 4 star, though). An NFL tackle should be able to make due at any spot in college.
We've got several guards right now capable of flipping to the outside (to be determined for the nfl potential )

He literally played all 3 positions in high school.
Just because he was a guard on 247 doesn't mean that he can't play Tackle. He will play where we need him to play, whether that be at guard or tackle.

Thought Glenn was recruited as a tackle.
Kenarious Gates was recruited as a guard and played tackle for us though. He was a low level 3*

Was never a 3 star. Just looked him up on rivals and 24/7 . he was a high 4 star out of high school. Keep trying

Glenn was a tackle in HS and stayed at tackle his freshman season. Worked his way to all conference level at guard then stepped back out at tackle his senior season.
I wasnt going to mention gates because I don't consider that a success story. He got playing time as a true freshman due to need. But every time he got an opportunity to grab a starting spot, he couldn't take command of it. That happened for 4 years.
It might be considered a success story for a 3 star. But at UGA or LSU, you really don't want guys out there on the verge of losing their job each week.

Matt Womack jumps to mind. He committed to LSU, signed financial aid papers, then flipped to Alabama. And because he didn't sign with LSU, LSU's communication to him ended up violating some minor. It was a pretty weird situation at the time.
Alabama has a 3* OL prospect committed right now too.

LSU fans, are y’all hearing any smoke about this guy flipping to Florida?
There’s some out there on the UF side

We just processed a 4* Dlineman named Jalen Lee.
The basic thought around the program is that they’re going to let go of Ali Gaye and Kole Taylor for sure. Marlons our lowest graded commit but one of our only Olineman. Would make sense if he flipped tbh

Vol is claiming Gaye is not being let go. If we let go of Martinez that means we didn't get Dumervil either. I don't see it unless they miss on Dumervil and then Crawford and Xavier Hill want in/qualify.
