is a national top 30 player on both ESPN and 247. rivals once again showing how off they are with texas guys has haynes as a 3* and out of the entire top 250, which is a disaster

anyway, its an aggie/VOLS battle. i think most A&M people would say we like our chances after his OV this past weekend but wiltfong thought he leaned VOLS going into it and he has an OV out there coming up so its still very much up in the air between the two

That would be a big coup for Tennessee if they landed two top 10 qb's. Chaney is very good with that position and it looks like UT is giving him some positive publicity for that. Unlike UGA, where Kirby screamed at him through the headphones and the fans cursed him every weekend.

would be a huge win for UT if they can sweing it, and a huge loss for us. we didnt take malik hornsbys commitment in the fall because we wanted to wait and see what the qbs looked like in the spring. once we decided we wanted king, malik committed to north carolina and if we lose king, probably have to start over with our backup options or hope we can circle back to malik and get him to flip

Who does A&M go after if they miss on King?

Idk, but it seems like we think we are in a good spot for king right now so we will cross that bridge if we get there

We are supposedly recruiting Kristian Story at QB as well but I think want him as part of a 2 QB class since it’s not set he stays there

QB should be your first or second commit.

Truthfully think the QB should be committed to you a year early.

A lot of people say A&M but Fong and a few others have said that Tennessee is the leader. Fong isn't always correct but he is one of the better ones in the business.
He is getting his info from Gabe Brooks I think. Brooks is very close to programs in East Texas.
I would listen to what Brooks is saying.

Doesn't really seem like we have much of a clear back up right now

I grew up in that part of Texas and attended Marshall.
If Arkansas would straighten out the narrative with that family they have a chance as well.
There are rumors that aggy Chad is pushing his son for the job.
Jeff Traylor knows the King family.
If that narrative around Arkansas isn't true I am sure they are going to push for an OV.
I think it is but doesn't mean that these people aren't pushing Haynes King away from aggy.

A&M is getting negatively recruited big time in this one.

Imagine losing an instate recruit to VOLS, how embarrassing

Glad we have an A&M recruiting expert on the board. Oddly, he's a sip.

Who said anything about aggy?

I am familiar with certain parts of East Texas.
Like I have said Gabe Brooks is probably the best person to listen to. aggy insiders tend to not tell the full story so Brooks is probably the best one to pay attention to because he is well connected in East Texas and he is not an insider for any particular school.

Why would King want to go to UT when they already have a 4 star QB committed? Jimbo needs to step up and sign a highly rated QB.

It seems like I read somewhere this is a Chaney thing, he wants King and King’s family likes Chaney but really not sure.

Volquest is saying Texas A&M isn’t as much a contender for King as you’d think. We are hearing very positive things for Tennessee here but I’ll believe we beat Texas A&M for a top instate player when I see it.

Maybe, but Calzada is going to be a very good college QB imo

Doesn't seem like he committed to VOLS this weekend and still plans to take his visits. Probably a good thing for A&M
