Wow. Was that expected? Felt like he was looking for a way out of Tallahassee for a while but had no idea where he was going to end up.

Now we need to land Banks, flip Shep, and maybe flip Lee too.

He's 6'5" 285 so he's already DT sized.

That’s a great get. How many are you guys taking this year?

Lee’s not committed to anyone. If Bama turns up the heat and goes after him they’ll likely get him.

26. We have 2 waiting on grades. I think we’ll have 23 inked after tomorrow.

How many can Bama take? 30? 35?

28 but a bunch of their posters think they can take 29 or 30. Dax flipped but they took Battle. They lost Dean to UGA so that opens a spot.

They have 22 signed and 4 committed. There are rumors that they were going to process or blue/gray shirt some guys.

One spot is going to go to Henry To'oto'o to fill the Dean spot.

SO that puts them at 27 total.

With Trey Sanders on board, I could see them processing Keilan Robinson.

I highly doubt they'll get rid of Byron Young but I know that LSU and others are about to put a full court press on him.

They have the following guys to go after with their remaining 1-3 spots:

Darnell Wright 5* OT
Ishmael Sospher 5* DT
Noa Pola-Gates 4* CB
Marcus Banks 4* CB (I think they'll back off and A&M will land him)
Devonta Lee 4* ATH

But in all honesty with the way that Saban can recruit and the fact that most of his guys are locked in, it doesn't really matter who they're in on right now.

They could land any prospect that isn't signed.

How the hell can they sign near 30 players every year? The math doesn't work out.

They signed 22 kids last year. 1 didn't qualify and they got the transfer LB from Washington. So 22 total scholarships.

You get 25 scholarships a year and can back-count from the previous year if you sign the kids in the early period.

So they had 28 spots as long as 3 kids signed in the early period.
