He committed to Alabama last fall but announced in January that he would have to go to a JUCO for a year due to grades.

Well, he is going to qualify after all.

He visited Missouri last weekend and is scheduled to be in Athens this Saturday for Georgia's Spring game.

It appears he no longer has a spot at Alabama unless he goes the JUCO route (which he appears unwilling to do and I can't blame him).

Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

Also, kudos to SumterCoDawg for bringing this situation to light.

This is really strange.

Well, I know he wont be a Hog next year even though I don't think he would want to be if he was offered.

Just watched some tape on him, and this kid is incredibly athletic for his size. Wow

It's why Alabama stuck by him. Sucks to lose him. But numbers are a balancing act. And it bit Alabama on this one.

I could actually see us playing him at DE. We signed 5 DTs last class before his addition.

Is he still visiting UGA this weekend? I know some guys have signed after signing day, but when is the absolute last day you can sign and still play for that school in the fall?

I don't know if he is or not. I kind of doubt it, but we'll see.

Technically you don't have to sign a LOI, but the last day to do so is April 30th.

What does that mean exactly? He is a perfect example. How would it work for him if he didn't sign a LOI? All schools who want him would leave a roster spot open then he would decide before fall camp? June is when I feel like most freshman get to campus so is that his deadline?

He just has to show up and enroll.

Remember, a LOI is a Letter of Intent. The intent is gone once you enroll.

Bingo. Along with waiting to see what Trout and Thompson do.

Easier to start him at DE and move to DT need be then other way around.

He's signed a financial aid agreement. No more visits.

Excellent pick up this late in the game.
