Baylor/OU game is on ESPNU right now.... not exactly a textbook example of secondary play....

I assume you mean Thomas Davis- who is a LBer in NFL and really was more of a Lber at UGA as well. Great at run coverage- decent at pass coverage. Greg Blue could hit the hell out of anyone, but was beaten in coverage all the time. Sean Jones is smart as a whip and would have been damn good under anyone.
Actually, the only two guys that I would give him some credit for are Jennings and Battle. Of course Battle was the guy that allowed you guys to win at Sanford back in 2005.
BVG is a decent defensive coach, but the man is a major PITA to work with- Martinez was probably the only guy willing to come. Oklahoma didn't exactly beg him to stay.

He's not talking about the official AU tunnel video, just the yearly video this guy whose handle I can't remember (something like AU and then a few numbers) makes that are always really awesome.

I get your point about stability that AU had being underrated, but let's be honest here. You are taking the final yr of Stallings and the first yr of Saban to paint that negative picture for Bama.
If you take Dye's final year and Tub's 1st yr then AU had four coaches in 8 years. Not nearly as bad as 6 in 11, but not nearly as rosey as the picture you painted...and it would have been 5 coaches in 12 years if the Petrino thing hadn't been leaked 48 hours too early.

WTF does this even mean? Also you can't just take the final year of Stalling and the first year of Saban. Perkins and Curry were there what like 4 years each before they left? Since Bryant resigned there has been a lot of coaching turnover at Bama. Stallings and Saban are the exceptions..
Anyway back to recruiting...
