Also, their OL coach Grimes is a notorious a-hole. Really good at getting kids on campus but from what I have read, once the kids get there they pretty much hate the guy.
That literally couldn't be further from the truth. Grimes may be our best position coach, his players love him

Per Gino.... "Patrick Miller: the word we have gotten on Patrick Miller is that he is not happy at all at Auburn. He could possibly transfer and may even grayshirt one year at LSU. We will let you know more when we hear more on this front" maybe that's why Fehoko is still in limbo?Would be sweet. (Echos of Porter]
I would think that signing 4 or 5 tackles in this class alone would have a big impact on him. Could be wrong and this all be throw away info but that would be a huge impact on me if I was the second one in and they signed 3 more.

True, but Auburn was also there for him when he wanted to be an EE, and LSU basically said nothing available son. Auburn has to do what's best for the program moving forward. We saw last year what happens when you don't have a well stocked line, and only bring in the bare minimum. Players get injured, they transfer, or just aren't good enough to contribute. If a team doesn't have a a solid line in the SEC, fuhgettaboutit.

As of knowing a former OL player at Auburn, this is beyond laughable.
The experienced guys on the team fricking loved Coach Grimes after playing under Hugh Nall.
Yep. My son knows Ziemba and Big Z frickin' LOVED Coach Grimes.

One or two of those tackles are going to end up being guards.
Hell, one of'em (Kozan) could well end up being a center after all is said and done.

also coincides with Spring practice where he is getting his first real exposure to coach grimes rather than recruiter grimes
So this guy just assumes becuase LSU has started sping practice that every other school has?

Update on Dee Liner:
quote:
“I feel real good about Auburn and I’m still 100 percent committed,” Liner said. “I’ve been an Auburn fan all my life and it feels like home down there whenever I go.”
quote:
“It was good down there. I think I stayed two nights,” he said. “I hung out with Kiehl Frazier, Tre Mason and Gabe Wright. “Gabe said defensive line is a nice position to play at Auburn and I’ll have a lot of fun.”
quote:
Liner, 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds, met new defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder for the first time. “He’s a nice cool, guy but I have to get to know him better,” he said. “He told me I’m the type of guy they’re looking for in their defense.”

He'd fit better in the 4-3 defense vs the 3-4

I simply posted that there was an update, in this thread, over in the Bama thread, and Capstone was already getting bitchy. It happens.

There are some good Bama posters here for sure.
