Any word on all of the Georgia players who came to visit this past weekend? Anyone like the visit? Hate it? Say ANYTHING about Auburn recruiting?

GenesChin > Rivals, Scout, and 247. I wish he would start a scouting service so I could pay him instead of wasting my money on talent evaluators who have never "seen a football let alone played in an organized competitive game."
Half of your posts so far have been dedicated to talking smack about Pike. You obviously have a personal vendetta against the guy for some reason so I have a hard time believing anything you say about him. Yes, he has obviously had some issues in the past, but I'm pretty sure you are exaggerating his douchiness. If it isn't personal, then I'm willing to bet that you weren't happy when Cam signed with us either. And no, I'm not trying to compare Pike to Cam.
How did you get GenesChin> Rivals, Scout and 247? You are a moron. Even all those sites dropped Pike and quick. I an in no way said that Pike doesn't have athletic potential but that he isn't nearly what Auburn fans have been chalking him up to be. Talent evaluations take into account their ability to adjust to the college level, their mechanics and technical skills at the moment, attitude as well as physical ability translated on the field. After his junior year all the scouts saw his physical potential which gave him such a high rating. His senior year showed them that though the physical ability was there but his mental and technical ability is clearly lacking.
Just by watching his highlight films and knowing how to play football, you can see serious flaws in his game from throwing mechanics both arm motion as well as footwork (consistently throwing off the back foot more than denard robinson is a problem). Then his lack of ability to read defenses is a serious problem and contributes to throwing more INTs to TDs in KY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.
Add in multiple suspensions, ejections and general poor behavior and you ahve a talented player with the lack of mental composure to capitalize on the physical gifts especially when he has a lot of work to go from a technical stand point.
Why do you think everyone dropped Pike so hard in the rankings. It isn't because poeple hate Auburn, it is because he deserved ever lost rank. DOn't be a moron.
ETA: Players on the team think he is arrogant prick and don't like him yet. As a QB and leader of the team that is a pretty serious problem when you don't get respect.

Playing QB for ONLY two years can have that effect.
Didn't a prominent QB coach quote Pike as a player that is easy to teach and learns quick?

Found it..
But you probably know more about QBs than George Whitfield Jr.
quote:
Well known NFL quarterback coach George Whitfield Jr., who coaches Roethlisberger and Newton, was one of the coaching mentors on hand during the week. Whitfield had the opportunity to coach and spend time with Pike, and feels like the 2012 prospect from Kentucky has a bright future.
"With Zeke, Auburn is going to be in the mix for some years to come," said Whitfield.
Pike's physical attributes are obvious, he stands 6-foot-5, 240-pounds, but more than that impressed Whitfield last week.
"He's a great kid, great personality, very competitive, extremely coachable," said Whitfield. "I always say when you talk about talent, is it impressionable talent, or locked in talent. Locked in talent will tap out, impressionable talent is big. When you've accomplished as much as he has, it's easy to say, 'OK, I'm here and I'm going to work hard, but I'm not letting go of my current system'. The exact opposite was true with Zeke.
Beyond Pike's progress as a signal caller, Whitfield said he saw something else in Pike that excites him. In a heated competition of quarterbacks, where egos run rampant, Pike displayed a sense of 'team' that Whitfield said was unique to witness.
"If somebody needed a guy to jump in the huddle, he'd jump in and go run a tight end seam, sprint thirty yards down field in a competitive situation, where the quarterback is relying on him to do well," said Whitfield. "He did that five or six series for other quarterbacks. There were very few guys were even willing to do anything other than play quarterback and help another guy out."
"This kid though, I'm telling you, there is no ceiling on him with his God given attributes."
In fact, of all the 24 prospects that attended the camp, Whitfield believes Pike's combination of God given ability, plus his drive to succeed, puts him in rare air among the quarterbacks of the class of 2012.
"I just thought he was the most dynamic guy and prospect up there," said Whitfield. "He's definitely going to be a youngster that I'll be looking over and I'm going to guide him all the way through this thing."
Whitfield and Pike plan to reunite this winter in California and continue to train, as Pike prepares to possibly enroll early at Auburn.

George Whitfield Jr.
He was also real high on a guy named Cam Newton when every NFL analyst was guaranteeing he'd be a dud.

I have read the same thing. If Pike comes in and pulls a Cam Newton, I may not like the kid but I damn well will be proud of him. If he turns into a superstar and gets Auburn Ws I will root every second of every game for him.
After personal interactions with him, hearing things from players I know as well as his well noted problems in high school, the kid sucks in the head. I have never disagreed with his physical ability that is top notch Tebowesque. But there is a difference between Tebow and Pike, Tebow worked hard as hell and I see/hear of Pike at the bar more than a frat boy and it is always negative in nature. Hard to believe that is going to translate to ridiculous work ethic.
Also, let us not forget that even if George Whitefield Jr is correct on his ability to learn and is coachable (all that is made on less than a week of divided attention), the kid still has miles to go before his mechanics are SEC ready. He won't be playing anytime soon
