I think he's got the speed and size to be a pretty good safety. God knows, we need depth there.

it takes a certain mindset to play safety, and defense in general... i'm not saying jason smith doesn't have it, or can't find it, but its a HUGE STEP to go from H.S. QB to SEC Safety, especially if you haven't played the position before.

I agree. Just looking at his measurables, I think he's got what it takes to be a safety. Obviously the mentality has to be there too.

The midget wanted him as a safety, but would not be given a fair shot at QB at Bama. At Auburn he will be a QB first, but he is a great athlete and can play Wr or DB.

Not an insider, but my guess is Wiggins, TM and the other UGA recruits held a meeting to try to talk RF into going to UGA. Same old, same old.

I read on AE as to why would a UGA commit hold an announcement if they were going to pick the same school. Does he not remember JaQuay Williams?
