Charles Power just posted on BOL board that Bosa won't be visiting this weekend. I haz a sad. Hope to goodness it isn't Meyer trying to get him to visit Ohio St instead!! I'll be pissed
Ah well maybe he will commit anyway...doubt it but we shall see

correct, I'll try to keep yall updated on Tim over here. If yall have any questions, I can see if I can get anything out of him... I know he likes Saban more than Miles, so hopefully we can pull him out of BR. But like I said earlier, his daughter is the X-factor. Don't know what they would do with the babymomma/baby if he went to bama
I'm not at all surprised that he likes Saban more. I'd like him too.

I know its been said on here about many players, but Saban makes them feel "special." Tim went to a camp or something up there over the summer, and he was really excited that he was one of the few people that Saban brought into his office and talked to, so if saban can keep it up then bama has a good shot

How though like let's say for instance you Memphisplaya grew up in Atlanta, Ga, dad played fball at Ga Tech, and you are a TE in HS, the top TE in the country, you are a better reciever than blocker, but too big and slow to play WR, I'll say 245 255 range, other schools are gonna come in to that house and say "Ga Tech doesn't use a TE" and to me that's not negative recruiting, the kid wants to be a prominent player, at Bama a TE is much more prominent, a key cog in the offense

I'm gonna leave that special comment alone.

Coach Saban has this. He gets 48 hours in each day, so he can make each prospect feel "special". Deal with it.

I hope Bama doesn't lose him after having a pretty sizable lead on him...

You bring another school in the conversation negatively it's considered negative recruiting.
AGAIN we will likely throw to our TE's more. We had two terribly inept QB's leading us. They weren't leaders or well prepared thanks to Crowton. I bet our TE's are looked at more this year with our tallest WR being 6'2, and no one really stands out.

His coach doesn't seem to like Bama that much.
This weekend is gonna be exciting.

That's surprising considering he and Bobby Williams are pretty close friends. His son went there and Duron Carter played there.

There is some old drama that went down at STA a few years ago where one of the coaches said no STA kid would go to Bama. I don't even know if it was the same staff. I think it had something to do with Shula getting shite canned and us hiring Saban.

Mike Shula's brother sent his kids there and Don Shula acted like a bitch after his son was fired. He "called in his favor" after donating money over the years. I was under the impression things were fine now, considering Bobby Williams actually volunteered for a season on the current Aquinas staff, before he came back to coaching.

I was thinking things might be better too, but we STILL haven't gotten an STA kid since that proclaimation was made unless you want to count Duron, but he was JUCO

Would it be better if the Alabama recruiting staff just said...You can go to LSU and play Yackle or come to Tuscaloosa and be a tight end.
Posted on 2/17/12 at 2:17 am to T Rey WI
If you think Smith is a tackle you're insane.
I'm sure both staffs are working negative angles. I never said LSU probably wasn't doing the same. Is it such a crutch to know your staff is negative recruiting? It's not a big deal and as I said easily overcome.

Doesn't yackle pretty well describe how LSU has used the tight end the last couple of years?

Never once have I heard it called that.
I figured you just misspelled Tackle since the Y And T are right next to each other.
