As for Drake, this time last year I was pretty confident his future would be at WR or DB. After rewatching his senior film, I now think his best position probably is RB. He really does have exception balance and is a tougher runner than I originally thought. If he added another 10 pounds and learned to run behind his pads a little more, then there wouldn't be a whole of difference between him and Yeldon. The problem of course is Yeldon, Hart, Tenpenny, Jones, Scarbrough, etc... If he's willing to wait, I think he could have an role like Upchurch his last couple years, but barring injury it will be difficult for him to have a bigger role with the RBs we're bringing in.

Henry said. “I started talking to my coach. We had a serious talk. We talked about the positives of Alabama. We feel like Alabama is the place to go.

Dont see how a UGA fan can see that and be ok with him. He is gone

Vogler can't block at all
Sadly, I agree. Which is why I was surprised that he started over Jones on A-day.
Anyone know whether Freitag is more likely to play H-back or TE?

I'd be surprisded if he did. Jones and Vogler have been working for 2 years at that spot and BC has been working there for 2 weeks. If he is a lot better than Jones and Vogler I could see him taking over later in the season though
I think the fact the coaches are constantly pitching the position to several recruits to come in and play early is condemning of what is currently entrenched there. Calloway is an unknown, while the staff knows what they have in Jones and Vogler.
It depends on what they want at the position, do they want a dependable blocker who is an ok receiver in Jones or do they want to follow what pretty much is an F-Back fad with having an athletic 2nd TE?
I could see them running different sets that would involve the blocking skills of Jones, and a set that incorporates Calloway's athletic ability.
I don't like mentioning Vogler because I've never been a fan. He's all height that was suppose to be a good blocker coming from a wing T offense, while being raw a a WR. Instead, he's raw at both...

Charles from BOL said he would be given serious consideration for the position upon his arrival.

Someone earlier poster that RN was only looking to take 3 more visits and UGA was not mentioned. In their thread they are now saying he will be there for Dawg Night.

I don't think he's counting that as a "visit" since it's more of a camp setting? Idk, that's just my guess. Unless he's wanting to come recruit for Bama, in which case he can GTFO.
But he did mention UGA and Ole MIss as two teams with Bama, LSU and Clemson that make up his top 5. So who knows with this kid

I also think that he is too tall but not only too tall but his legs are very thin for someone that weighs that much.
Those thin little legs of his squat 500lbs and rushed for 7500+ yards in Florida 4A football. Not to mention his 40' vertical...
I know Henry isnt the prototypical RB by any stretch of the imagination but he is a stud. When people look at TJ Yeldon, most people probably wouldnt think he was a freak RB either but he produces... Derrick, IMO, is the same way.

Kid is a freak athlete. Many fear he'll be another Richard Samuel, but I just don't see it. I don't think he'll be a Herschel or Bo type workhorse, but he's going to do a lot just by virtue that he has the ability and drive to do a lot. Make no mistake, I'll be really upset if he goes elsewhere

Hes going to be a filthy Jack Linebacker for Bama.

RN says that he's visiting Bama, LSU, and State but when asked about visiting UGA said he would visit there too. Wouldn't be surprised if he went to Dawg Nite since it's so close.

I just had a mod on another board who actually writes for 247 say that he lives in Grayson and sees RN all the time. Also said that RN's GF car has Bama stickers all over the back of it. For those concerned about his GF.
He says RN will commit to UA and fwiw he writes for WVU on 247 so has no side among any SEC teams.

How do you have a top 5 if you're truly committed? Makes 0 sense.

Isn't Dawg Night in July after the Opening or before?
