He just committed to Georgia Tech.

And even if he decommits, he was not high enough on UGA's board for them to offer his teammate the two for one deal. Things can always change, but supposedly UGA wasn't communicating with him as much as they had been.

Wow, really? Isn't that guy like 6'6" 340 pounds or something? He would be a good 50-60 pounds heavier than the rest of their linemen.

Yep he's a big dude. Would've been nice if we could have gotten him. Saban will get us a good OT or two though for this class so I'm not too worried about our OL recruiting.

AND away from the AU twins Cam and Blaise

Wait...are those the twins Auburn set Bateman up with to show him and his mom arround campus? I think I better understand why he thought it so weird.

With Devine off the board our best option is Leon Brown then. We were his first offer and at the moment we are the favorite.

Just some random thoughts....

Kamara surely knows Bama plans on taking 3 rb's this cycle. He's gotta know Henry is visiting the week of June 8... Could that push Kamara to go ahead and commit? I think we would only take 1 of them?

I don't think were in that bad of shape on the OL. With all the talent we have signed...we just need an elite tackle.

tifwiw .... Oj tweeted me tonight and said he was solid and Reuben was who we needed to be worried about.

As Paige's commitment demonstrated, there could very well be an OT prospect out there the staff is targeting that we know nothing about. Brandon Hill was another under the radar guy last year. There just aren't that many highly rated OTs in the southeast this year and Michigan snagged all the ones from the midwest, so we're going to wind up with a JUCO or an under the radar guy in this class. Not ideal but not the end of the world.

Ok. So a guy who has been an Alabama fan is more risk to flip than a self proclaimed Auburn fan?

No, Cam and Blaise aren't twins, and Rueben considers them his best friends. The twins were girls that showed Monty Adams around.

I agree. I think we'll find a nice Juco such as Leon Brown or get an under the radar guy for this class and then focus on 2014.

So it appears that Leon Brown is our only legit shot at getting an OT at the moment. Am I the only one that is concerned about that?

Hill is capable and I think will be a RT, but yes it looks like Brown will be the only LT in the class.

Not worried about it depending on how many years he has. They most likely expect Cyrus to be gone after 2013, having him waiting in the wings with 2 years to play. Redshirting in 2013 if he has 3 to play 2.

I know Cap was high on Grant Hill playing tackle, but I don't think he has the foot speed.

He dominated a camp recently, people were raving about his footwork.

I'll have to find the details...

It's kinda like the people that think Alabama and Auburn players hate each other IRL...

How long has the kid been at Auburn High School? Best friends? shite. They are 17-18. A good stiff wind changes their attention..

Like a month. Me thinks Reuben is telling them what they want to hear, just to get them off his back.
OJ may flip but I think Reuben is solid.

Mike Farrell from Rivals stated that Allen is already slated to get a bump when they update their rankings in a week. He'll probably move from #100 to the 50-75 range. Gotta love the Bama bump!

So in a perfect world Hill would be our RT and Brown would be our LT in this class. They both leave a lot to be desired. Hill's foot speed isn't ideal and Brown needs to add bulk. We really need to hit homeruns in the 2014 class OT wise.
