Yeah sounds like OJ is sippin on some cammy cam juice. I predict a Brent Calloway on this one. Flip to Barn and once Bama contends for a title and the goat humpers go 7-6/8-5 or worse he will sober up and sign with us

Is Poggi on the same level as OJ, as far as TE is concerned.

No totally different type of players. Poggi would be a blocker and OJ is a receiver type. Ill be pissed if he went somewhere else!

It will come down to whose TEs have a better season IMO. Team record won't have much influence over what he ultimately does.

Am I too late to claim I called the Allen commit to happen in an unspecific timeframe a [insert date] ago?

Because I did...

Here's hoping that Mocha Cam floats some wounded ducks to Lutz.

Could be Poggi, and he's all DE

My guess is one of the camp guys who'll get an offer

Rod Crayton or Jonathan Cook

Either one would be a pretty good pickup. Saw Crayton when he played my HS in the playoffs last season, he was a monster. Not very tall but extremely strong and got into the backfield at will. Watched Cook when Spanish Fort played at St Pauls, SF got destroyed, but Cook held his own at corner. He's a sleeper

Here's an excerpt from gig 'em 247 (Texas A&M site sounds dirty) on Maurice Smith interview & what he said about Bama:

quote:

Smith told us that he's scheduled to talk with Alabama's head coach Nick Saban in the coming days. He said the biggest thing he wants to talk about is where he would fit in on the deep Crimson Tide defense.

"Just me coming in," he said. "I want to know where they see me when the amount of talent they have and where I would fit in."

Smith admitted that if Alabama comes hard after him, it's going to be a hard opportunity to pass up.

"That's a thing you really can't pass up," he said. "If a coach tells you he needs you that bad, one of the biggest things for me is getting to the next level. I know most definitely that he can get you there, he's a good coach."

I think it's safe to say we have a great shot

Kind of reminds me of Chapman. If they clear him with the foot issue, I would like to have him in this class.

no doubt, I like both, LOVE Cook's potential, I think Cook will be a special player at the SEC level

& Maurice has a great dew:

Yep, I'm sure CNS will tell Smith that we need him bad because our top 4 CBs are all juniors and we only brought in 1 freshman CB last recruiting class. There will definitely be opportunity for playing time his 2nd year.

It will depend on how comfortable the staff feels with Paige's academic situation, right now it is bleak, could be S&P, maybe not, basically he still has time to improve enoufgh to make it in this class, staff will have to make a decision since Crayton is a beast & he will pass, might even EE

I don't expect it to take long after he & Saban have "The Talk"
